I am a beginner and takeing this course because Phil is great teacher. It,s my 5th course with him. I have a great result in Premier Pro after course with Phil. All information given with good explanation. Iryna.
I am a visual artist and a VJ. I am also a junior filmmaker. This editing course is just what I was looking for. I am very excited already :)
To this point, i will have to review the entire course. Seems as if I do not know anything about editing. Must retake the course from a to z.
This course would help if I'm using FCP7 but now I'm using FCP10. Of course, In this course, instructor so informative & nicely completed this course. So, my point is if the instructor updates this course into FCP10 or wish to get an amazing course from only Phil because already completed his Premiere Pro course. Very well explained & Direct to the point. ^_^
I like that he starts with the foundation. It's important to be reminded of the importance of editing to the whole story-telling process.
Final Cut can be overwhelming - this instructor has the rare ability to break things done (without seeming condescending) so that you really feel you understand a concept. I can't tell you how many times I said to myself "Oh, so THAT is what it means!" - a very clear course
Very informative course. Well thought out. Good examples. I would recommend it to anyone interested in film editing
This course is amazing, I've learned so much You're a very good teacher. I really have nothing to say Just keep on doing more courses, You're doing a great job :)
Because it's getting me exited and i want to move forward and learn all the steps and become good video editor in future
What a fantastic tutor. I feel like I learned so much within this short online course. He explains everything in a personable way that people can actually understand without feeling patronised or lost. Best £15 I have ever spent! I am a producer and script developer with a lack of confidence in the editing room. It is interesting to hear that editors do pay attention to story arc while editing. Extra proof that this is a blind spot that I am needing to pay more attention to - thank you!
Excellent course, very informative. Looking forward to more in-depth video editing courses from you.
The explanation philip used is very easy to understand. Thanks a lot! It's time to start my first project.
Well, what can I say? it's just thanks really specially for making this a free one. Although I admit I have slight idea about editing, I still learned a lot in this course. I just find the "story telling" part lacking, and I do hope you expand on that on your next course (maybe add it here or when you do that Premiere Pro in which I will be looking forward to because that's the one I'm currently using :D.) because frankly, that's where my confidence is lacking really. maybe something like this? http://www.routledge.com/cw/butler-9780415883283/s1/video/ But all in all, I really learned a lot here. thank you very much. have a good day.
