Super easy to understand and implement I'm really happy with what I've learned :) I do wish there was a little more content though. I would of liked to have seen how to save a level and continue from the exact state you left it in. Eg... Dead enemies remain dead, alive enemies are in the same position, damaged enemies stay damaged and stuff like that. Just some examples of how you would approach that kind of stuff would have been nice. I really enjoyed the course either way so thank you, this will help me a lot with my own projects :)

Good course that does what it sets out to do as long as you don't expect too much depth. Personally, I expected a little more from a course focused specifically on one topic. For example, the course doesn't cover saving complex "live" scenes at all - just stats to load at the beginning of fresh scenes. It also doesn't cover encrypting saves or any anti-cheating measures beyond binary formatting and instead spends a decent chunk out of the already short course trying to convince you that you don't need anti-cheating measures anyway. It's a good introduction to PlayerPrefs, XML, and binary saves though. Just leaves a bit to be desired for a course with a singular focus and "Complete Save System" in the title.

James goes through step by step and shows you how to implement a save system. He includes PlayerPrefs, XML and Binary saving, explaining the pros and cons of each. The emphasis is on XML saving, which was mind-blowing to learn. I will now be able to use this save system for future games!

Very short, but effective course. As always, James makes everything crystal clear and absolutely accessible. A couple more topics I would have liked to see covered: best systems to use for WebGL development, and best systems to use for multiplayer games (e.g., using the cloud).
