Why take this course?
In this course I will be taking you through the process of creating AAA quality environments inside of Unity.
As game graphics are becoming more impressive, it is necessary as a game designer to update your skills and techniques in order to compete with the ever growing game design industry.
You don't need any previous experience in Unity as I will be explaining how to do everything in detail.
We will cover the following:
Terrain setup
Sculpting a path
Adding trees
Painting ground materials
Sculpting terrains
Adding streams and a water plane (sea)
Setting up post processing
Creating your own bushes and plants
Layout of foliage and props
Creating procedural ivy
You will be creating stunning environments for your games. These can also be used in your portfolios to impress game design companies.
By the end of this course you will be an environment wizard and able to create truly spectacular environments in the Unity engine.

Since this course is a little outdated some of the resources he provided was troubling, besides that this course was a lot of fun, it really expresses the creative aspect and it taught me different tools to use

For a beginner to environment design, this course was excellent. There is much that can be learnt from going through this course and then experimenting on your own, using the video sections as a reference. The level of detail was more than sufficient and I can say I learnt a lot from this course. The bonus videos on recording a timeline were also very much appreciated.

Sadly I can't recommend this course. The installation process alone for the whole bunch of assets that are needed to follow the course is a real nightmare, because at least half of them aren't working out of the box and constantly producing error messages that even prevent Unity from entering Play Mode. Apparently although the course got updated 3 months ago this issue obviously wasn't fixed. I'm not willing to try to solve a dozen compiler errors just to get started. Sadly I can't refund the course anymore.

It's a Step by Step guide with clear objectives, ideal for newcomers like myself. There is even room for Q&A if you've got a problem. I highly recommend if you want to learn.

Good to understand better the Terrain Tool.... would be better with tips with LOD which I suppose its important for this

New to Unity and this makes me want to learn more. Very intuitive and excellent results. My system isn't good enough to have the scene as detailed, but the process of making something was very rewarding. Still to finish but well worth the investment!!

The instructor is both a gifted artist and skilled teacher. The course is very detailed and well paced, with in-depth coverage of Unity's terrain tools as well as general level-design tips.

Pete's knowledge of Unity and creating environments is unsurpassed. Any questions I asked he answered promptly and thoroughly. His teaching style is superb. He walks through all steps at a moderate, easy to follow pace. He is not too fast nor too slow. I am looking forward to taking his other classes. I would recommend Pete's classes to anyone interested in creating an environment in Unity.

It had been really fun learning the course, and it taught me beyond what I had imagined it would, therefore I thank you enormously Pete for putting this syllabus together. The assets and packages were extremely useful and the natural flow of the learning process made it very simple to understand which requires a lot of complex understanding; and that shows clearly in every aspect of the course.
