FROM CLUTTERED & UNORGANIZED NOTES...
...to ACCESSIBLE, USE-ABLE, ACTIONABLE & STRUCTURED NOTES.
Probably 6 years ago I started my journey of personal developed. I was reading around 2-3 books a week a taking notes of ideas that I liked. I also started doing online courses. Then YouTube came into picture. There was so much to learn and put into action. I was continuously learning like a raging fire. Then I got overwhelmed.
I realized this problem. I was learning but not implementing. I was reading but not retaining. Because I was focused more on learning new things and forgot to revise notes and top ideas every once in a while. Finally I decided to pause my information consumption and instead start referring my notes, take action and produce real results in my life.
BUT WHEN I SAW MY NOTES, I realized, the notes I was taking has turned itself into a book now!
I was not easier to use this "note-book" again!
Then I started taking interest in "How to take effective notes"
I am a note taking nerd. I take notes of everything I learn, Observe, Experience and come across. I have taken so much notes of my personal observation that I can publish a 2 volume book of 500 pages!
I tried several methods on this journey to reap maximum benefits from my notes. I came across many interesting ones. But here is the interesting thing, On the journal I invented my own note taking format that I share in this course.
I share with you an exhaustive list of different methods, mediums, devices and apps available to take notes, organize and structure them.

The different methods descriptions/intros were helpful, but the sections on organizing (i.e. using a small spiral notebook, using a larger notebook) seemed silly and like they were put in there to beef up the course time. The filming was distracting - it would have been helpful if the instructor had 2 cameras and the second one could pan to show what he was writing down or what was on his phone screen (instead of him writing something down while describing it then holding it up. Show what you're writing, as you're writing it).
first i thought he was just making fun :) then i came to realize that he seriously thinks he is teaching smth ! all he is doing is writing things on the notepad and showing to the camera it is like he is talking to himself in front a mirror for fun udemy should have more strict rules
I did this course to upgrade my knowledge in notetaking & to study as an adult, I found it's content well suited for my application, I would highly recommend this for a refresher course for getting back into studying...
I took this course b/c I needed a better way to take notes than simply writing everything down. Doing that is needlessly wordy. All of these methods are time savers and force the student to economize. As for his presentations, Mr. Varma speaks directly into the camera, enunciates his words, and records in an area free from distractions. It presents a seamless blend of technology with the tried and true. Essential for an age where we are swamped with information and can't seem to manage it.
