Why take this course?

This course will show you--from start to finish--how to build a real-life application with AngularJS. Angular is awesome, but it can be tricky to learn, especially if you are newer to web development. This is especially true if you're trying to figure out how to build an actual working application in it. It can seem like a daunting task--especially since many tutorials out there don't show how to do it from scratch.

The good news is that it's not that hard once you know how all the pieces work together. This course will teach you those pieces and how they fit together so that you can build your own real life single page web applications that persist data to a database.

This course is for all levels, but you will find it especially useful if you are newer to web development. You should know some HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but by no means do you need to be an expert. We'll be using tools like the command line and NodeJS to install packages, but we'll be seeing how to use them from scratch, so you don't need to have prior knowledge of them.

This course brings together many commonly requested AngularJS subjects that aren't seen in a lot of other ones, including:

  • Directives
  • Routing
  • Angular Material
  • Angular 2

If you want to learn how to build a single page app with AngularJS, and want to learn it from scratch, then this is the best course you'll find. See you in there!

It is good quality worth, but I already know 90% of the tutorial... nothing new if we talk about deep level, e.g what should be directory structure best practice,, directive is not fully explain, just basic things. $resource API doesn't cover on it.

Great overview of the technologies used. Instructor moves lightening fast, but mostly explains what he's doing in clear terms. Wish it included a section on Firebase authentication.

Very good, although the info comes at me very fast, I'm able to pretty much follow along. Also, I think this example is complex enough that it shows off a lot of angular's muscle, as well as angular material.

Awesome course. You make it extremely easy to understand angular. Other instructors complicate it, but this course makes angular seem like the ABCs.

This course not only takes you through a real world practical example of how to build an application with AngularJS and firebase, but Ryan provides excellent conceptual context to what he is doing. I was able to build the majority of an app with an entirely different purpose with AngularJS after completing about 50% of this course and jumping around a bit. Ryan was extremely responsive to my questions. I've taken a few courses here with mixed results, but I would recommend this course to anyone, and if this instructor had more courses I would certainly take those as well.

The best course I have seen on Udemy. Instructor is articulate and the app is an incredible introduction to Angular.

So far, the material has been covered appropriately. The exercises are well-explained and pretty good. I have never known about the Angular Material before this class. It is pretty interesting. There are so many things to cover to be a pretty good web developer. I am not sure how much the Angular Material Design has been getting used by the web community. I hear a lot about the Bootstrap library. In that sense, I would have been very happy if the course has been covered with Bootstrap and jQuery. Probably, there will be another course with AngularJS, Bootstrap and jQuery. Come on Mr. Ryan. Please create another course with Angular and Bootstrap.

To me it was an easy and nicely sequenced lectured course. Also as I learned Angular 1 first, then Angular 2, it gave me good understanding to it. Quizes in the middle of the lectures was also helpful. To me, his style of teaching is great.

Great course! So glad I found out about Firebase, that's an awesome technology. Some of it is a little out of date but that can't really be helped.

The amount of detail provided, not to mention the fact that a complete and useful application was built, made taking the course, well worth my time. The only difficulty I ran into was in the beginning when there was a firefox update needed. The flash plugin was outdated. Terrific course from which I learned a great deal.

this course does not show how to write angular right, everything is written in a very wastefull manner. for example - the Instructor is abusing the $scope. It'd be better to use one way data binding most occasions instead.

Great course, clear explanations and clear English for someone who is not an English speaker. I hope to see an Angular 2 course from Ryan very soon.
