The course has some good and some not so good. The Good: You get to see/use some basic TOAD functionality. The course also goes over some basic SQL commands which will be good for the very inexperienced person. The Not so Good: 1) This is an old course and hence uses an old version of Oracle. You will have to download the newer Oracle Express version which unfortunately no longer has the HR schema with it. You will have to manually download the HR schema and manually install it yourself. There is a good video that shows you how to do this - do a google search on "How to Download & Install HR Sample Schema, Unlock & Connect to HR User Account, Oracle Database 21c" (Note, you may have to find another site that has the HR database). 2) The course covers only the bare minimum TOAD functionality. It should have had alot more.

This Cause is completely useless, as this only provides the absolut basics of an komplex program. Nothing that you can find out youself within 10 minutes with the Toad itself.

It wasn't as helpful as I would have liked. The Oracle sample database used is very old and I was not able to find it to follow along. Also, it was very elementary. Yes, it's for beginners but I think it could have included more useful information. There are a ton of menu options within TOAD of which I still have no idea of their function. I was hoping this course would have dived a little deeper.

I was expecting to gain some basic skills in TOAD but after little explanation on the TOAD menu, the tutor switch to basic SQL statements. This was total diversion of my expectation. YouTube much better that this course.

The content of the course soo weak also for a beginner. Especially SQL statement examples are at very basic level. I think it should be improved.

Pretty basic. Lots of modules wasted downloading, installing, configuring software. Takes forever just getting around to TOAD. HOWEVER, I am learning things that I never knew about TOAD!!

Pros: The presentations are divided into short and clean sessions which are easy to understand. Cons: 1) There is to much emphasis on installation which is unnecessary. 2) The price after 60% discount is Rs 600. For this price you could have purchased a book with extensive details. 3) There is very focus on Toad. 4) Towards the end it is simply unbelievable. They have included sql queries. Dont know what on earth their intention is, where they planning to fill the time.

I was having trouble setting up TOAD with my Oracle database, and this did help to show me how to do it, but all the other data is pretty basic and can be achieved by reading a Database Management Systems book, looking through TOAD contents or doing a quick online tutorial on SQL. Think it is too basic of a course that is lacking substantial information on TOAD.

As a pure beginner, these videos while being short and simple are quite effective. In the Information Technology field, one of the most difficult things for IT trainers to do is to understand the intended audience and to not assume that the student has as much knowledge as the instructor; not the case here.....this tutorial is geared toward a beginner who has very little prior understanding of the database/Oracle environment.
