Really enjoyed this course. Glad I bought it. It’s fairly short, but it’s straight and to the point. It gave me everything I needed and also clarified a few things I didn’t understand. It’s well taught and well paced. Don’t think there is an equivalent anywhere else on this platform. The price is cheap too. I think all piano students would benefit from it. The sections demonstrating how to improvise using the blues scale are especially useful. Now it all makes sense.

I enjoyed the tips for improvising. It would’ve been nice to have a review of each major scale the blues scale is based on so my brain can more easily apply the formula.

I liked the description of the blues scale. However, I had subscribed to this course with the expectation that Stan would spend a good time on the different techniques and tips on improvising within the blues scale. The improvisation techniques described over a short 3-4 minutes chapter left me want for a whole lot more.

I got a good feel for the blues which I had trouble with in the past. I also got a better understanding of how this fits into other genres of music. I would, however, like to have had more exercises and in other keys. I feel like he only scratched the surface regarding the blues.= All in all a good course, certainly worth the money. I would like to see more of what this man could teach.
