It's a great introductory course on the subject. I'll give it five stars, although I have to mention that the professor's vision falls short when he doesn't take a stand on attitudes toward neocolonial expansion in the USA, sort of selling the USA as worthy or major perpetrators of neocolonial expansion. I felt a greater lack of the professor's position, partly because I believe it is a thorny subject even within the American University and also the general population, something like: "God forbid to speak ill of the USA".

I really enjoyed the course and got a lot of good information out of it. Many of the readings were really enjoyable as well. Love the Tragedy of the Commons article...Some of the information is now a few years out of date, so keep that in mind, but overall, I highly recommend this class!

The Course is very good as it combines research covering many centuries, information provided to the Students by the Presenter, and reinforced with slides which have words, pictures and diagrams. Course has continued to provide in-depth information to build on the value of the study. Course provides information relative to the interaction of physical elements, and elements which are people related in context. Lecturer is very knowledgeable on the subject matter and this allows greater understanding of the various components of globalisation.

So far it sounds really interesting! I do A level Geography in the UK and globalization is a very small section in the course, but it's a big part of why I love human geography so much. I'm planning on doing human geography is university- so this will also expand my knowledge! Thanks

Professor McCabe has got very good communication skill to explain the subject in a simple and systematic way, which always made me very comfortable and confident about the this lecture. Initially I joined his live class in Irvine valley college without any prior experience in this subject, but his simple and friendly lectures helped me a lot to get up to the speed and excel in my work and studies. Very fascinating!
