Why take this course?

"Absolutely love this course! I am learning so much!" -Margaretha Elizabeth De Klerk

"This course changed my thinking about why the children have this kind of dis-regulated behavior to how I can manage this behavior. It has also given me a lot of ideas that I can implement into my classroom and with my students to help change their brains from the limited “survival brain” to “thinking brain”. It’s a really constructive course that can help alter your teaching methods not only academically, but also behaviorally."- Norham Magdy

Feeling frustrated with children's challenging behaviors?  Feeling like you are not giving the effective behavior support your child needs?

I sure felt that way!  But then, I learned what causes challenging behavior and the steps to take to help the children in my care. Finally, I felt less frustrated and created calm environments where kids felt safe and were more cooperative. And why is this so important? Because the children in your care are waiting for someone to come alongside them and help them!

In this self-paced course, we look at challenging behaviors through the lens of survival behavior, or a survival state.

The healthier relationships a child has, the less likely they will be in the survival state and more able to thrive. Relationships truly are the agents of change. This is why every parent/educator constantly hears, "Build a relationship first!" Safe relationships are imperative in moving the child from the survival state into the open-to-learn state. In this course, you will learn concrete steps to support children's need for relational safety as the groundwork for solving children's behavior challenges and moving children into the learning state.

You will also learn a step-by-step approach to de-escalating an escalated child while supporting their emotional regulation.

This easy-to-follow approach gives you the confidence to help a child whose behavior has escalated. At the same time, it builds trust with the child while being their "safe keeper."

As a bonus, I have detailed three goals every parent/educator needs to know when correcting challenging behaviors, and you will learn the most overlooked strategy when helping children learn to self-regulate. It is probably not what you think.

In addition, this course includes precisely what you have been missing: simple and practical tips to help children and whole classrooms regulate their behavior, all based on neuroscience.

Does it make sense for you to purchase this course?

Because you have a strong desire to enhance your confidence in managing children's challenging behaviors and the desire to promote safety and connection with the children under your care, this course is the exact support you need and aligns with your goals.

We only have a limited time with the children in our care, so don't miss out on this helpful information.

You will make a difference; I am so excited for you!

"To change the world, we have to create safe relationships." -Stephen Porges

This course is good as it share many useful tips and experiences to parents/caregivers/educators who have children with challenging behaviors. Self care is important and before you can take care of others, you need to take good care of yourself first.

Not only am I learning a lot, I'm also remembering a lot of behavioral change tools I learned in that past, and I also noticed how your theories contradict those that I learned about in parenting and behavior classes. It also brings me back to when I worked with teachers and young students at elementary schools and how teachers sternly and strictly demanded their students to behave or else. After taking these few lessons from your class, I realized how wrong they were, and what I could have done to help them be less strict and become more in tune with the students they want to help when they misbehave. Thank you.

All of us want to understand the kids, what is really going on in those curious minds. But often it is so difficult to react or to handle them on a regular basis. This course has made me understand what is the way to bond the connection. From examples to biology of the brain I want to really appreciate the time and effort Tracey has put in to build this course which we could use it on daily basis.

The course started a bit slow and basic but had some good content eventually. I thought it was a shame that the audio was recorded separately with a very basic Powerpoint rather than a person talking to camera, but I managed to follow it nonetheless. I would recommend the course to others as a cost-effective and succinct introduction to the subject.

The course has a lot of valuable information and is set in a fast pace which is fine. I just missed examples when having older students. I would also like maybe a links / list of additional reading material about topics. This so I can access them after the course.

This course reminded and thought me some new tips to regulate challenging behavior students in my class. But most importantly it reminded me that I’ve to start with calming myself first. We tent to forget this often due to the stressful situations. I made couple of notes and kept them in my desk as a daily reminder.

I work in special Education- so, I see these types of things everyday from my students- We let them work when they are ready or if they want something - we tell them (first work, then reward or what they want )
