Description

Tableau Certification is becoming more prevalent these days and I'm not surprised. The demand for Data Skilled workers has been rising exponentially in the last couple of decades and believe it or not, there's a shortage. Companies are recruiting heavily and upskilling those they can. This is where you come in.

HOW IS THIS COURSE DIFFERENT FROM THE REST?

The only course on Udemy that teaches the complete Tableau Platform; Desktop, Online, Prep, Bridge and Conductor!

Most instructors only teach Tableau Desktop which is the visualization tool. I'll teach you the entire ecosystem from data cleansing and preparation, to data ETL, automation, Story Telling, Tableau Online and Server and much more.

WHO'S THIS FOR?

This course is designed specifically for those who do not have a data background or experience and want to be more efficient in the way they clean, prepare and share data.

It has also been designed specifically to pass the Tableau Certifications by preparing you for the Tableau Desktop Specialist Practice Exam as well as the others depending on how far you want to go. We'll be doing assignments and lessons throughout which mirror some of the Tableau Desktop Specialist Exam Questions.

EXAMS YOU'LL BE PREPARED FOR

  • Tableau Desktop Certification

  • Tableau Certified Associate

  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst

PROBLEMS YOU'VE EXPERIENCED WITH EXCEL IN THE PAST

  • Excel becomes slow or crashes when you have lots of rows of information or too many charts

  • It’s difficult to remember or write formulas

  • You can’t remember which file is the latest version and end up working on the wrong one

  • It’s annoying having to email multiple Excel files to the same people everyday

  • It takes hours create a usable and robust dashboard

  • Takes hours to investigate data and find patterns/trends

WHAT IS TABLEAU?

Tableau solves all the above issues!

The beauty of Tableau is its intuitive nature and makes it easy for anyone to learn it. When getting started its mainly drag-and-drop visualizations. What would usually take me hours/days in Excel I can do in a few minutes in Tableau.

Another advantage is that don’t need to have any programming/data experience like I did a few years ago! In fact, there is no programming to be done which is what makes this tool so desirable for beginners like you!

Jed is absolutely amazing!! It almost feels like he is talking to you in person. Amazing teaching skills, intelligent, explains in detail and is funny. So far this is best my course in Udemy, he is the complete opposite of robot/AI instructors. Overall I learned a lot and I enjoyed learning Tableau with Jed!

Really great content. The instructor shares his tips, best practices and what not to do as well. He also follows up on everything by giving his reasoning behind the actions/decisions. Since you understand the "WHY?" behind the concept/rule, it's easier to remember and follow. 15/10 would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn Tableau.

I came from the world of QlikView and needed to learn Tableau for a new job very quickly. This was very helpful. I was able to skip some sections around join theory and unions, since I was already familiar with SQL, but the tableau concepts flow well and the instructor does a great job making it fun.

Teaches from basic to expert level step by step and that's amazing. Though there are many other courses which has got a beginner to expert level teaching, this one's got a proper structure on how to train students/individuals on every step i.e. beginner - intermediate-advanced.

The training is overall informative, but it goes so slow and there is so much unnecessary information said by the trainer. Sometimes it is not to the point and it takes a lot of time to be on the track. I wish it was more concise.

Jed is an absolute rockstar! The course is very well structured with such in-depth detail and knowledge shared, which Jed manages to pass on so effortless, breaking down complex concepts into more simplistic approaches. Like anything in life, you won't become a Tableau wizard just by watching the contents of this course. You'll still need to take Tableau out on several dates to get to that stage, but this course will definitely get you closer to that level of knowledge much faster.

I don't normally give a review, but Wow! I'm still on section 3 and I already feel like an expert. I already learned/realized a lot of things that were never mentioned in other courses. Jed really knows what he is teaching and his style of teaching is that he really wants his students to understand and learn. Jed is more of a tutor than a typical teacher just giving a lecture!

It looks good so far. I just finished the Coursera intro to Data analytics so I'm hoping this gets really deep into Tableau.

The Beginner section is EXCELLENT! The Intermediate section is not ... so far. Some of the instructor explanations are either lacking (i.e., quick table calculations) or unnecessary complicated (i.e., Logic Based Analysis). Also, while the instructor is definitely very knowledgeable (or at least I think he is), he is winging it too much and it feels unprepared. His examples feel too much on the fly and not ready. Sometimes it works but sometimes it doesn't. I'm hoping that the second half of the course will be better because it started with a bang but now, I am getting increasingly disappointed.

This class so far feels like it's my very good friend showing me all there is to know about the foundations of Tableau. I enjoy the pace and flow of the course so far.
