This Tableau Beginner course begins the Tableau journey. The basics are covered, including data sources, basic data prep, and many visualizations. Basic Dashboards and Stories are created at the conclusion.

Good training, good instructor, that said a lot of information to process and in some cases may could have use better examples. Also, version is a little bit different and in a few instances that cause a little bit of confusion..

The Beginner and Intermediate sections were ok, but it went downhill quickly in the Advanced Course. The pace went much faster closer to the end of the course, and at least two tabs on the starter workbook were not covered at all. Documentation for three of the advanced exercises and one beginner exercise contained placeholder text. During the Set Actions demo, he showed the total changing while he clicked different states, but the total included states that were no longer selected (look at the In/Out column).

I was expecting pretty basic for the first one, and its a good primer. However as things progress, the course gets worse later on. In the advanced section, the workbook provided they just went through and deleted some of things that you're suppose to make but ended up leaving some rather than just creating a new workbook and starting fresh. It caused conflicts as I'd type it out and then get errors. The material towards the end of the advanced section seemed rushed and sloppily put together with missing parts and some steps skipped over. The course also needs an update as you can tell its a few versions behind the current set of Tableau as the menu style has changed. For advanced topics as well I would have figured they would have touched on server and a bit more on data prep. This was just to get my ideas flowing but I wasn't impressed with this course set.

The course sometimes progresses a little slowly and there is a bit of unnecessary repetition, particularly around reminding us to pause the video. Otherwise a useful course that goes a long way to preparing users to maximise the benefits of Tableau.

The instructor provides intuitive learning through his teaching method. His methods allows users to understand the course through his articulation, the pace of class, the techniques he applies allow the users to feel at ease, and his overall demeanour. This is one fantastic instructor and I will definitely sign onto more of his courses. He makes learning fun & exciting.

One of the very best out there. Structured "Story Teller". Easy on the ear, good to understand and follow. The BEGINNER-Section makes sure you really know the Basics. The INTERMEDIATE-Section covers most Charts and adds valuable tricks for professional results. The ADVANCED-Section ensures a solid understanding in regards to analysis. In real life, the Advanced learning is virtually endless. Helped me understand where thing usually go wrong. But, its easier to add on other techniques once you got this. I think there is a lot of brain power behind this course. It's definitely worth while. The teacher tells what he will do, does it, and explains it. On top of that he clearly marks the cursor on the screen. This is something 80% of all teachers on Udemy miss out on. I LOVE THAT! He dosn't try to impress with cool charts, but seeks to find best and real solutions. It has to make sense to him in real life and for analysis. This becomes clearer, the further you come into the course. I APPRECIATE THAT! His source material is easy to find, well prepared and structured. Above all - it works and corresponds to what I see on the screen. BRILLIANT! Specially for more complex exercises he demonstrates and explains the upcoming work thorrougly - before he then shows how to do it. THAT'S HOW TO DO IT!

I like the step-through approach and the ability to download and walk-through the Tableau worksheets, stories, and dashboards at the same time. Easy to understand and follow.

The class was a good speed and I was able to follow along with the exercises. The intermediate - start file was missing some of the pre-created material but I was able to put together the information that was needed. It was good practice.
