Love the simplicity and pace of 'Storytelling Through Video for Filmmaking Enthusiasts'. The instructor, Jun Ng, explains particularly well The Angle. This is a good course for beginners who want a big picture of film editing.

This is good useful advice. Stuff not fluff. In 1 hour you get more substantial content then other longer but time wasting courses.

It's a course for someone who's really beginning on filmmaking. Really really in the very beginning. Except for the first lesson and the last one, all the information you can get on YouTube or any other source on Google, with more details and better examples. So if you don't know where to start searching for information, maybe this course can be interesting for you. (Also the instructor doesn't seem to know too much about the subject neither show us any example of a finished montage)

Very promising. Seems to be a good overview on the vocabulary to film making. And I am sure it would make you a better film maker. And it is especially good for beginners to get them started on the right foot.

I enjoyed this course a lot. I especially liked learning about planning videos/the story boarding process and would have liked to go a bit more in-depth with that, as it's something I would like to improve on. I liked the fact that for each assignment, the instructor also showed her own examples for guidance. I felt that this course was very wholesome and covered a lot in a short amount of time! Thank you!

I think the introductory video is awesome! The teaching method works really well for me, with ideas explained both by drawing and speaking. The sound quality is excellent and the pace of speaking is just right for me. This course is what I've been looking for. I bought a nice Canon camera about 5 years ago. It can take great still shots but I didn't have the courage to make videos. Now I have a new granddaughter and I'm really inspired to make videos of her growing up! Respect to the Instructor for all your work - bringing us understanding and neat techniques and best of all showing us it's possible. Now working my way through the exercises.... :))

If you're a vlogger or if you record many video clips on your phone and want to do something with them, then you will enjoy this course. The lessons covered many of the difficulties that I’ve faced when reviewing my holiday clips and deciding what to do with them, especially stringing them into an interesting storyline or montage. The example of editing a set of raw clips was enlightening because the instructor verbalised their thought processes and broke it down into the steps mentioned in prior lessons (setting the angle, being intentional, storyboarding, capturing movement, and weaving clips together). The editing of soundtracks to lengthen or to shorten them was also cool. The instructor was very quick with the assignment feedback and gave great ideas and tips!

As someone who is a photo and video enthusiast, I found the course very helpful in explaining the technical terms into layman terms and breaking down the curriculum into manageable bite-size clips. The Storyboard introduction was useful into guiding the focus of the course. The instructor's examples was beneficial in tickling one's creativity. More importantly, the course encourages one to have the confidence to sprinkle life into age-old videos! Thank you, Jun!

I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking to get better videos and photos and even filming. The course takes you behind the scenes - great insight.
