I am a Senior Oracle DB solution engineer (OCP) and I loved to follow Raphael's course. This intermediate level course is a very good introduction into MS*SQL Server technology and Raphael is a very passionate and competent instructor!

This refreshingly optimistic course, full of fascinating examples, shows how database is the infrastructure or corner stone of the digital age that empower individuals and improve our lives in a diverse and inclusive society. Mr. Raphael is a kindlier and gentler scholar with prolific mind creative, typically in a professional context.

I like the details about each of the new features, but thought too much time wasted on some details (i.e. how to backup / restore databases and other Level 1 or 2 items). Pause the video and just get to the results so we can spend more time on the features (or shorten the video).

yes it was a good match. but there is a problem in polybase video. it actually skips last few minutes of it and move to next video

The course is great and the instructor speaks clearly and rapidly to keep my attention and to go to the material in a quick manner. The fact that I need a laptop and is not well viewed from a mobile does it take away from a five star rating for this course and instructor.

I have almost all of the sql courses from this lecturer because early on I felt comfortable with learning from his style. He explains topics that I am already familiar with in a detailed manner and topics that he presents that I am unfamiliar with become easier to learn as a result.

Hello. I just finished the course: SQL Server 2016 Administration. Recently I have passed Microsoft exam and I have become MCSA SQL Server 2012 / 2014. I have got a few words to all who are studying SQL Server. When I started studying SQL Server 2012/2014 I did subordinate almost the whole life just to achieve my goal - I knew from the begging that I have to study hard. What does it mean. It means you must study, learn, repeat and practice. Again and Again. Every single day off I was studying from 8.00 am to 8 pm. Even when I was after the work I always found the time for studying SQL. Constantly. Even if I was really tired I was forcing myself to push harder. There was no saying like: ''I am tired'' or ''I cannot do'' , '' I do not know how to do it'', ''I am wasting time'' or ''I will do it tomorrow''. Instead of that there was: an idea, desire and envy. Because someone knows better and I don't. It was really frustrated when I could not find solution. I was looking for answers: google , Udemy, forums for SQL ''maniacs''. Was it worth it ??? Every second YES !!! DBA is always learning !!!

Nice to begin from fundamentals. Would be great if you share the links that you've used in the video to download software/sample databases

Great course so far lots of new features to learn. I took Raphael all the courses and learned a lot . I am now a certified SQL-Server dba and I was able to crack interview comfortably. All you need to do is watch and practice. The practice is key for your success but Raphael is the best for SQL-Server.

I have taken all but two of Raphael's courses on SQL Server DBA. I would recommend his courses highly to anyone who is looking for solid foundation in this technology. His way of teaching is simple and clears the basics to a level where you can easily apply the concepts as an experienced DBA. Thanks....
