What you will learn

Create two Spring boot restful web services implementing the JPA for the interaction with the databases.

Create a full stack web application composed of a microservices infrastructure and a single page application.

Learn how two microservices can communicate with each-other and exchange information through JSON messages

This is course has the same topic of the italian course "Sviluppo Web a Microservizi con Java Spring Boot e Ajax" so it can easily considered as its English version. The example developed is different but with the same topics: microservices, Spring Boot, JPA and Rest calls.

Why take this course?

This course is a practical course which explains how to realise a microservice infrastructure in order to realise a full-stack web application composed by a "framework-less" Single Page Application and two restful Spring Boot microservices interacting with each other and with two different databases thanks to the implementation of the JPA (Java Persistence Api).

You'll have the basis to generate fastly a microservice infrastructure, to organise your application using different layers according to the "SOLID" principle and following the MVC pattern.

You will have the instrument to organise your communication protocols using simple and effective rules, to implement restful web services which communicate with Json Messages.

This is course has the same topic of the italian course Sviluppo Web a Microservizi con Java Spring Boot e Ajax" so it can easily considered as its English version. The example developed is different but with the same topics: microservices, Spring Boot, JPA and Rest calls.

This course uses Java 8 and Spring Boot 1.5.7.RELEASE, but it's simple enough that updating it to Java 11 and Spring Boot 2.3.4.RELEASE is trivial.

Not only is this a great course on building microServices, but the concepts can be applied to non-microService application as well. Fantastic course. Engaging instructor. Well worth the time and money.

This course is more like a spring boot course rather than a microservice course. I was expecting the instructor to show how to deploy using a container. That would have made the course complete and very satisfying. The instructor is knowledgeable and I just needed some time getting used to his accent which I liked to be honest.

This lecture is really nice. JWT Token Part helped me a lot understanding security mechanism. I'm looking forward to see your next lecture such as seperating jwt part from ToDo Microservices, using api gateway, or using no-sql with MSA.

it is fine. It would have been helpful to have an introduction about what to expect. I didn't have the tools installed..I didn't know the code was there...I fumbled around at the beginning trying to figure it out..

TL;DR: A good course for newcomers who just want to get something started and dont want to worry about the setup options. Especially if you have no Spring knowledge. A shallow course for anyone who wants to dive deeper. ----- I m not finished yet and i have previous knowledge. I learned 2-3 things, yes, but this course is more like a "how to setup Spring Boot and play around with the basics" For newcomers it might be a good starting point, however its just to shallow for professional level. I hoped for in-depth of at least some of the configuration options you have with Spring Boot. Spring Boot is a sidenote and much more time will be consumed with Spring basics like JSR-303 Validation. For an entry-level course however alot of information is hidden, so that actual newcomers still might have problems following. Some examples: - Lombok Plugin for IntelliJ is not mentioned. So especially using Log-annotation newcomers will get confused with errors - No real import showcase. My IntelliJ generated a main.iml which hindered me to actually start the project because imports couldnt be resolved - Postman out of the blue I could probably go on as i resume watching and i will certainly update my review if something changes. However, judging from the titles of the remaining lectures I highly doubt it. Edit: Answering the tutors comment: Especially since its declared "All levels" and not "Beginner" i m writing this. If it was declared "Beginner"-course it would probably be a 4-star review. I want to inform any experienced developer who want a quick overview/reference to Spring Boot to look somewhere else. Edit2: +1 Star (=3 Stars) for JWT

Para ser un curso introductorio, lo encontré interesante, me hubiera gustado que los ejemplos explicados en el curso hubieran terminado desplegados en algún tipo de servidor ambiente QA o producción.

This is actually a good course. Yes, the English accent is a bit difficult but the instructor when presenting facing the audience, I can easily follow what he says. Some of the materials covered are not easily found in other courses. These materials are really good, and the 2 projects presented in the course are practical. I recommend this course.

Useful and interesting course, especially to understand communication between several microservices . The speech with an ascent is understandable enough, however you would need some patience to go through the course. Very good course. Thanks.
