I am total beginner with splunk so everything is foreign to me. The instructor goes through things pretty quickly. I have to rewind the video just to see what she's typing in the search lol. But I plan on watching everything multiple times to learn but instructor is fast. I did find the documentation extremely useful in other videos which helped a lot so I will continue to use that along with the videos.

This course is not for absolute beginners. As the teacher is very quick/fast to go over each lecture & very casual in how she speaks, it's recommended to already have good enough hands-on to at least know what & how things happen in Splunk especially with SPL. The Splunk documentation will be your best friend, not the teacher.

Hailie is an amazing teacher, teaches you the function and THEN goes and shows you a live demo of the actions/commands in action. I can not recommend a better teaching/learning resource for splunk

I've learned so much from taking various Udemy courses led by Hallie. With regards to Splunk, it is a very powerful tool and can be somewhat overwhelming to a novice user. However, Hallie is an astute Splunk trainer -- the lectures are comprehensive and they're reinforced with hands-on demos, that are both easy to follow and helpful with understanding the material(s) being taught. In addition, as a person that appreciates a good pun, the occasional pun during the lectures/demos are much appreciated :) I highly recommend any courses produced by Hallie. I am a much better Splunker based on Hallie's videos. I eagerly await the notification that a new course has been released :)

Thorough explanation of each subject with pacing that is not overwhelming. The presenter does and excellent job explaining the material and walking you through the demos.
