Why take this course?

You can improve your public speaking and presentation skills quickly and easily eliminate those annoying verbal tics from your speech. Imagine yourself rarely ever saying uh, um, er, like, ya know, well, or ya see. You can speak with poise and confidence. You will never again need to clutter your spoken word with annoying fillers.

TJ Walker, your instructor, brings real world knowledge and practical solutions to this public speaking and presentation skills issue. For more than 30 years he has trained 10,000 clients around the globe how to speak with greater clarity and confidence AND how to speak without using fillers and verbal tics. And now he can be your personal coach as well.

What will students achieve or be able to do after taking this public speaking and presentation skills course?

  • Eliminate or greatly reduce the number of verbal tics spoken

  • Speak with greater poise and confidence

  • Pause appropriately without panicking or filling up the space

  • Seem less nervous and uncomfortable when speaking

Please note: This course is NOT for anyone with a major speech impediment. It is designed for people who have normal speaking skills but who use higher than average fillers and verbal tics when they speak in uncomfortable situations. This is not speech therapy in a clinical sense. This course is speech therapy in the sense that it gives simple, practical problems for nervous people who have one highly specific type of speech problem.

Additional Note: TJ Walker is NOT a licensed speech therapist or speech pathologist. You are encouraged to seek out the services of professional speech therapists or speech pathologists if you have any speech-related problems beyond using excessive verbal tics.

Final note: This public speaking and presentation skills course is taught by a real person who speaks directly to you. If you are looking for a course with lots of animation, special effects, fancy editing, and artwork plus robotic voices, this course is not for you.

I find it really informative, and I'll put everything bit of the shared tips into practice, especially the recording and listening to yourself, and posting more on Tiktok. I see a better relaxed and more communicative me in the nearest future. Thank you 😌.

Yeah I can relate it with my personal experience. If I was fluent then there were some points that I was missing during the presentation, or if I use so many (a,umm, err) it sounds like I'm not confident enough. After listening to this now I know what to do during these kind of situation....just take a pause and continue your speech.

I liked the way the lecurer was explaining the different reasons why we use the verbal tics. I honestly did not noticed that I have been using them a lot while giving a presenation and I never asked for this kind of feedback after the presentations. I also learned that, I do not have to always use the complicated words to show off. Sometimes it is better to use simple words to explain your point that using complicated words, that will lead you to the verbal tics.

One thing that stood out for me in this course is how the focus was on making the speech or presentation interesting rather than focusing on social tics.

For an update in the future, you may upload a real example of people making a speech with verbal tics that made their message less effective, and how to improve the speech in retrospect.

This is a very good course, helps me in my mumbling now I know instead of mumble or trying to find a difficult word I can simply pause and go ease.

In this course TJ has focused on single topic. Increasing confidence to control verbal tics. And it sticks. Easy to apply.

Muy buenos consejos y prácticas. Me hubiese gustado que se contara con algunos ejercicios prácticos, pero aún así, excelente contenido.

This was the most impressive public speaking course I've taken! I have previously taken a public speaking course and it was nothing like yours. With the previous course, I was disengaged in the third section and onward of the course but stuck it out because of the useful PDFs that were provided. This course was so engaging that I started a personal document to note all (maybe most) of your talking points to practice with. Thank you so much! I will be recommending this course to friends and colleagues.

It's always a pleasure to follow TJ's courses, there's no better communicator! As usual, it's a concise course, to the point and full of wisdom pearls. Well done!

It's interesting, with some tips that would be useful, though I would have like to see a video mention (just mention) that body language makes a difference on how you are perceived. As well as mentioning that it's not only the amount of times but where in the speech you do it (e.g. mid sentence = not good, end of sentence/beginning to gather your thoughts/if you get interrupted by someone asking a question therefore interrupting you train of thought = gets a pass).

The teacher by himself was a great example of how we should look like when giving a speech. His speech felt so natural during the whole course, and I also learned some very useful tips that are going to make my speeches more fluent.
