As a native Spanish speaker, English classes do not teach poetry, rhyme, much less how to write songs, so the course has been very useful to me from the narrative aspect.

Very pleased with this course. Peter is very entertaining with some of the comments he makes such as, "wonkers, it's a technical word look it up!" He had me laughing half the time and I learned a lot from him. Taught me a lot of things I never even considered doing to get the creative ideas flowing. Very helpful. I wish Thomas would have gone into a little more depth though on the mixing bit. He does show you what he did to mix the songs but not much of the how. I was a little dissapointed by that but I understand he has other courses that go in depth on that part of the song producing process so Im still giving this course 5 stars because it really is an excellent course.

Overall this is a good course. The tutors have a very likeable manner and in terms of delivery it ticks most of the boxes. In all fairness, their goal was to try and cover all aspects of song writing (composition, lyrics and production) which is a big ask. I really enjoyed the composition bit looking at different styles of music. Perhaps there could have been a greater focus on this aspect (combination of theory and practice) to strengthen this section. Music production however is a skill on its own and I would say that it assumed some basic knowledge on the subject. Some of the examples (no matter how nice they sounded) were really complicated and perhaps a bit too advanced for me to learn something from. Perhaps (depending on who this course is directed to) a tuned down version of music production could be included starting with basics of the DAW (e.g. rhythms, drum sets simplified, choice of instrument principles etc) and then delving into a more simplified and applied aspect of the more production element. The lyrics aspect was heavyish in terms of amount. Useful information no doubt. Overall a worthy buy but difficult to combine everything for all levels of songwriters!

An excellent course for me that felt like I was in a inspirationless hole that I couldn't go out of because I had a lot of doubts in my mind about my songwriting not being appropiately done, or not as good as other songs I like and take as inspiration, or being similar to these songs and feeling guilty or even dirty about it, you guys helped me a lot! Just as a small suggestion, I think I would like better to have Rock, Pop, EDM and Blues instead of Country as the genres to be studied, but I guess it is based on what is being the sensation there. In general, a seemless course, very clear and with a couple of cool and clever instructors. Thank you!

On 75% of the course. Learned a lot of new things. Unfortunately, the songs are cut short and therefore elements like transitions and bridges haven’t got much attention. I think it’s very brave to sing your own melodies, but it would be better to spend a dime for a singer. All in all, good stuff that could be better.

This is a great series on Songwriting. The lessons are great for most levels of songwriting. Only complaint I would have is I thought the music production videos left a little to be desired (they didn't give many tips that I could actually use and used a lot of paid plugins). Would love a Songwriting 102.
