What you will learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to create powerfull simulations and animations of machines and mechanisms.

The course covers a number of differente mechanisms and the list will grow bigger in time as I add new videos

You will learn everything you need in order to create powerful, precise and compelling motion studies. Through mechanism simulation you will be able to make sur

Besides that, motion simulation enables you to explain concepts with ease, determine engineeging results and so much more.

Why take this course?

In this course you will learn everything you need in order to create powerfull simulations of machines and mechanisms. You will apply motors, gravity, physical contact between parts, springs and much more. You will also learn how to extract all sorts of engineering data and results from your simulations. Besides that, you will be able to create amazing animations to present your ideas and concepts

The course covers a number of differente mechanisms and the list will grow bigger in time as I add new videos. We will simulate the motion of the following mechanisms

Crank Shaft
Belt Driven Linear Actuator
Disk Cam Application
Cartesian Manipulator - Rack and Pinion
Geneva Wheel
Barrel Cam - Linear Applicaton
Barrel Cam - Angular Application
Spring Animation
Walkthrought - 2 Differente Methods

You will learn everything you need in order to create powerful, precise and compelling motion studies. Trhough mechanism simulation you will be able to make sure your designs will work in the way you want them to work before building expensive prototypes. Besides that, motion simulation enables you to explain concepts with ease, determine engineeging results and so much more.

The course is incomplete, last 3 sections are only introductions. That's a pity because the explanations in the previous parts are good.

Many of the topics in early chapters were promised to be covered in later chapters but were left undone , those were never addressed. This is an incomplete course. For instance, the instructor states at the conclusion of chapter 42 that we will conduct a dynamic analysis of a barrel cam, yet chapter 43 is a distinct section regarding springs.

Muy recomendable. Con muchos ejemplos prácticos y explicaciones con detalle de cada opción aplicadas directamente sobre cada ejemplo. Excelente.

The instructor's English skills and vocabulary are excellent for conversational purposes. However, several times he uses the wrong word for a technical concept. As with far too many nonprofessional instructors, he has a slight tendency to get into a "click this...click that" mode without explaining what the settings or functions do--as in "why are we clicking on this and that?". This instructor is pretty good at explaining the functions (eventually), though. He has a bad habit of starting a procedure and then starting to explain what he's doing instead of telling you before hand what he's going to do so you can follow the steps with some understanding of what the purpose is.

This course is great. It could use some more details on how the diamonds and sliders work. Sometimes I had trouble following along. This course is unfinished, but I expect the last pieces to be of the same high quality. I will change my review to 5 when the last bit is finished.

The instructor knows the material quite well and seems to be well-experienced. His Instruction style is also nice and enjoyable. However, he sometimes skips some important details while introducing new features, etc. Also, lectures 8, 9, and 10 seem to be incomplete as many details are skipped and postponed to later lectures, while there are not any. All in all, I am giving a 4 out 5 rating to this course and recommend it to beginner- and intermediate-level students.

It covers all necessary contents in a simple and accurate manner with a lot of exercise files to practice by your own. I really like it.
