I am near the beginning of the course having only looked at the lectutres on sleep duration. This is a course about optimal sleep so it was strange that the Introduction is about reducing blood pressure. The early lectures quoted sleep statistics - USA dominated - and these were several years old. Times have changed. With COVID sleep duration will have changed, not least owing to stress. Stress of the spread of COVID, protests against wearing masks, worry over risk - plus numerous other factors. So far I feel opportunities have been missed to make this course up to date BUT this is about optimal sleep, not the 'history of sleep' so perhaps it does not matter. UPDATE I have now been looking at the Practical section. Some truly beautifully shot videos - several hours worth and they make up the bulk of the course. I see also that the course includes an ebook which details everything - so that's another plus. But a minus is the frequent errors and spelling mistakes. I think this course needs to be proof-read as it IS distracting. Also where studies are quoted or films show...to give a link. UPDATE Following this review I received seven private messages from the Instructor concerning what I have written above (as commented on in his response). I have also progressed a little further in the course. For me, one of the key differences between Udemy courses and Youtube etc is Instructor interaction. This is particularily applicable to the Q/A section. It is the Q/A section where students can make suggestions about further reading, point out if a lecture is missing that then disrupts the order, draw attention to sound quality, ask for clarification, for examples - and pay compliments. With the exception of sound quality there are posts in the Q/A section covering all of those points and with one exception, none have been answered. This is a great pity as, of course, Q/A responses can be seen by everyone whereas sending off several private messages will only be seen by the recipient. Later I will be working through elements of the Practical Section and will update further.
