Formulas are an essential thing to learn to be the best Admin, Business Analyst, Developer, or Consultant in a Salesforce org. After this course you'll be a more knowledgeable and useful member of your team. Improve your hireability and salary with improved Salesforce skills!

We'll cover the most common formula operators and functions, and go through many practical examples that you can implement in your org straight away. You'll learn how to systematically build your formulas to be more and more powerful without confusing yourself. I also share my favourite extension to make formula writing more user friendly.

The course is designed in a logical order where you'll keep building upon new knowledge. Starting with the very basics we'll learn about where they are used, the different elements that they contain, and the different data types outputs.

After that, it’s time to get your hands dirty and start building. Your first formulas will only be one line long. At the end of the course you’ll be building 10+ line formulas and understand every part of it!

We’ll cover every type of operator, the most common functions (logical, Date and Time, Math, Text, Advanced), and finish by using formulas inside of reports to produce powerful business insights.

Great course with really straightforward delivery style. The instructor has identified a broad range of things we should know if we are to be competent with formulas, and explains them in a way that steers well clear of the overly-simple or over-your-head attitudes you sometimes find in other courses. I knew a bit already and learned a ton, additionally. I've watched a good amount of SF formula videos since completing this course, and by and large, they haven't introduce anything I hadn't already learned here - only I could follow them better because this course is organized so well. I have a ways to go still before I'll feel good about formulas, and I'm a little in awe of the elegance of some of his solutions... it's good motivation to find cleaner alternates to endless nested IF statements!

After seeing its Steven's course, I blindly bought it knowing the command Steven holds on the topic. And it didn't disappoint. I always had some anxiety seeing all those functions in a never ending list in that formula editor. Steven's course helps you conquer that anxiety and makes you comfortable jumping down the formulas rabbit hole. Well very designed course where Steven makes you realize what is the right approach (after showing the wrong approach), and what nuances every discussed function has. The Dreamforce videos of SteveMo were also a great resource to really jump into some interesting formula hacks. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to step up their formula game.

Really useful course, I liked the style of working through/anticipating a wrong step before showing the correct way, I also like that some mistakes were made naturally and Steven corrected this live as that was a better learning experience to help correct things myself moving forward.

VERY good course. Intense learning for me because I find these to be opposite of what I think makes sense, so this is helping me learn to think opposite of what makes sense for me. Why false = form submitted successfully and true = error just hurts my brain, but this is helping me get it in there. I believe this will help me become more comfortable with formulas. The only thing I'd say could improve this is to provide us with some notes. Having notes would be very helpful for those of us with ADHD, etc.

I'm absolutely loving this course. From feeling like I had zero understanding about Salesforce Formula's, I know have much more confidence. I feel like this course really explained how formulas work well. I loved the practical examples. I didn't always understand them 100%, but I feel like my level of understanding is around 80% which is 80% higher than what it was before I did this course. Thank you!

This course is helping me with understanding formulas better. Just what I needed. Steven is very responsive to questions and has a mountain of patience, thank you. I found it helpful to take screen shots the content in parts so I can have a quick visual reference, I'd find it helpful if the slides used could be added as resources. My strategy is to first watch the whole course and now I am going through it again but following in my dev org, recreating the same tasks which helps me learn. Love learning this and so far my favourites are PARENTGROUPVAL and PREVGROUPVAL but all of it is amazing learning. Also love the checkboxes to see which records VRs would affect. Thanks Steven.
