Excellent explanations, very clear and understandable. I am enjoying this course very much. This is the best course I have ever taken on Udemy or any other online resource. This instructor is thoroughly knowledgeable about her subject and can motivate others. Thanks to this course I was able to bring my historical fiction novel to a very satisfying close and the preview readers are raving about it. I give this instructor credit for helping me accomplish it. The second book in the series is well on its way to completion and it is because I am following the advice and direction set forth in this marvelous course. I am not a romance writer. As noted, I am a historical fiction author. However, every good story has romance in it. That was my reason for taking this course. It turned out to be a very, very wise decision. I would recommend this course to writers of any genre if your story includes romance on any level. Thank you so much for making me a better writer!!!

Instructor is obviously just reading from a script and constantly stumbles over words throughout the lectures. Visuals were just random stock photos of people, places, and a horse. Pass on this one.

Peggy makes the course non threatening and relatable for beginners. She helps me to feel that I can understand and apply the material for myself. My only criticism is that she speaks too rapidly for me to recall everything. Thanks for your response, Peggy. Look forward to working more with you and others here. Blessings, Sue

I really enjoyed this course. I've taken a few so the information in this one wasn't anything I've not heard or read before. Peggy presented it in a fresh way, not using the tried and true words for some of the techniques, and I liked that. Since I have a hearing disability and use a headset, and this is just me, I felt she could have spoken a bit slower. I've listened to it twice before I rated it, and got a lot more out of it the second time. I will most likely listen to it a third or fourth time just to refresh. Thanks, Peggy for taking the time to give us your take on writing a romance!

This is a basic course, like many of the others out there. She might be an excellent author, but I didn't learn much new that I hadn't already learned from other sources.

As a fiction writer, primarily in the Men's Action genre, it was nice to see things from a more feminine point of view. I believe this course will help me "flesh out" my female characters and how my main hero interacts with the heroine.

The course was well organized and covered the important points needed to write a compelling story. The instructor is an experienced, published author of both print books as well as ebooks. So, information was provided for both self and traditional publishing. I am satisfied that the class was a good investment in my writing education. Production quality for the course was quite satisfactory.
