Learn how to model a building from scratch using Autodesk® Revit® 2021. If you are a complete beginner to an experienced user, this course will help you develop your skills and knowledge in creating and managing Revit models.

Starting out with the basic concepts of BIM working within the 3D environment of Revit, we will start with setting out the building constraints, before working through the different modelling, annotation and documentation tools available within Revit.

This course will be updated to introduce new, more advanced topics, continuously improving your skillset to ensure you make full use of all the available tools, workflows and tips.

This course is taught using Revit 2021, however previous versions contain the majority of the same tools, allowing you to follow along with the course no matter which version is available to you. There are also bonus lectures at the end where we explore the new tools and feature enhancements in later releases, currently updated to include Revit 2024.

1.) It would be helpful if, at the beginning of each lecture, the instructor could provide a clear preview of what students can expect to learn. As a beginner, there are times when I encounter features I'm unfamiliar with, which occasionally leads me to watch the videos more than once to fully understand the content. 2.) The lecturer's speaking pace is rather slow, and their voice sometimes has a consistent, slightly robotic quality. It appears as though the lecturer is intentionally moderating their tone, which can make the lectures seem less engaging and somewhat dull. I recommend watching in 1.25x or 1.50x speed. 3.) There's room for improvement in providing more detailed explanations. Some important details are missed, and certain parameters lack clear instructions, with the lecturer simply stating that they've already completed certain tasks. I believe the lectures hold valuable knowledge. However, the issues with tone and the occasional omission of crucial information can make it challenging to fully engage with the content. During some lectures, I often find myself wondering, "What is the purpose of this?" or struggling to stay fully engaged due to the consistent tone.

Great course so far but the instructor did not include many of the resources need (ie doors, windows, components) and did not include models as he progresses and moves on to another phase, so you really have to figure this out on your own and waste time looking for free BIM products online to put in your model.

The instructor touches on the essential parts of Revit, however this course can be improved if the instructor was not monotonous, it can be difficult to engage with the content.

Instructor spends a lot of time talking about the interface, and not nearly enough time on the actual work of creating a documentation set. A whole lot of steps in creating the example project are done off screen, which is disengaging.

As someone who's familiar with and knows the basics of Revit not truly used or worked with it over the years of my Part I studies, it is so incredibly helpful that a course like this exist that provides a truly step-by-step, beginner to intermediate guide of what Revit and BIM is and how to effectively use it.

I am a native speaker of Ukrainian and Russian. With my average English skills, I understand the author. The author developed the course very well, on topics, a lot of useful information, everything is structured and easy to understand. Since I have been working in Revit for more than 3 years, I didn’t learn much useful information, but for beginners, this course will help you get into the specifics of Revit and 3D modeling and acquire the skills necessary for work. Thanks for the course! I plan to purchase a course on creating and editing families from the author.

In depth and detailed. This is aimed toward architects and designers working in professional practice, vs others on youtube aimed at students. He explains multiple ways to achieve the same result, which is exactly what I was looking for. But, it can be hard to stay focused because his delivery is very flat; this is mentioned in other reviews. Some excitement or jokes would go a long way to make the class more engaging.

I like the slow, steady consistent flow. I recommend this course over any rushed Youtube tutorial. The key here is to work at the same time & the next day so you don't forget. Will take the other courses by Mike when I'm done with this one.

Buen curso. Un poco complicado el modelado del proyecto al no poder editar el modelo proporcionado de referencia, estaría bueno tener la cámara rápida de las partes cortadas del proceso de modelado. Todo lo demás muy completo.
