## Description

This course will help you understand the main concepts involved in the Trigonometry sections of the Wassce core maths exam. It will explain what trigonometry is, the sine and cosine rule, questions on angles of elevation and depression and working out bearings.

Topics covered include:

• Introduction to trigonometry.

• Introduction to the concept of SOH CAH TOA.

• The sine and cosine rules.

• Graphs of sine and cosine.

• Angles of elevation and depression

• Bearings of one point from another.

To be able to do this course, you must have a working knowledge what a right angle is and how to properly label these angles. In particular, you should be able to know which angle is being referred to in the question.  In questions involving bearings, please pay particular attention to the word "from".

The best way to get the most out of this course is to spend time working out how you would answer the question yourself, before looking up our own suggested steps. Please make sure that you pause the video after we have explained what needs to be done.

You should also memorize the SOH-CAH-TOA rules and the sine and cosine rules.

Trigonometry is one of the doable sections of the Wassce exam and it is advisable to add this to the topics that you plan to revise.
