good course, some zip files are missing extensions, so I had to rename and add .zip, then after extracting I had to use .sav to csv online converter and opensource program to open the files. https://addmaple.com/tools/spss-.sav-to-csv-converter "Choose File To Convert"; select your file ;it will auto download in .csv or use opensource program: https://www.gnu.org/software/pspp/

Course is a good refresher. However, course data files are not accessible on my laptop (Windows 10) after downloading resource files. Something downloads, but I cannot view its contents nor open it.

The course was useful, but some relevant topics were not addressed, such as the strength of correlations, standardized coeffcients and the methods of multiple regression analysis. The two examples of simple regression analysis are very similar.

Not what I was expecting - I wanted something more advanced whereas this is a very quick run through the bare basics of regression and focuses more on the application used than the fundamentals. Sadly the IBM statistics application is not free either other than by trial.

It was more like a SPSS user manual, where SPSS is not accessible unlesss you pay a lot on lience or your company provides you the access... and spent a lot of time explaining the example itself rather than what each different statistical elements mean... Also, the excel analysis at the end was not applicable as my version of excel doesn't have the same options/tools on the banner... The resources provided is in unknown file type and does not open on my PC...

1. Did not explain the theory behind correlation and regression (e.g., how "R" is derived) 2. I can't get SPSS. I would have liked it if the Table of Contents called out which ones require SPSS, so I can disregard those lessons. I also would have liked if there were Excel versions of every lesson

I like the course a lot. The materials are compact and practical hands-on with SPSS. The instruction is very intuitive that is easy to follow. The quizzes are also included in some sections to reinforce the concepts.

There are concepts not well explained, and resources are insuffficient to check and know about. Concerning the course downloads for the section is not opening. Files have no extensions, and I am not able to practice using SPSS. Moreover, some of them are not arranged with the lectures (irrelevant). This course should be improved, in addition, the visuals are not so supportive or appealing. ..................................................................... For those struggling on how to open the resource files: go to >> https://www.checkfiletype.com/ check each file, there are .zip file, .xlsx, .pdf.... Then add the extension accordingly so that the file opens. ........................................................................... I do not recommend this course

Doesn't explain the difference between Pearson and Spearman. Or two-tailed vs one-tailed. It's more about the function, less about concepts which makes it difficult to explain, for ex., if you have to explain what you did

The instructor was thorough! He speaks at a slow pace allowing beginners to fully understand what's being taught. I feel confident explaining reports that include regression information. This is a must buy if you want an understanding on this topic. Only issue I had was the resources, when I downloaded them they did not open in SSPS, what extension should I save them as? Thank you.

As a doc student many years ago, I took a stats course that only focused on multiple regression ( also had a singular class on MANOVA). After graduating, I worked at a university that did not require much research, so I forgot most of what I learned as I was not engaged in this work everyday. I am currently working at an R1 institution where research is definitely required. While I understand the concepts of regression, I was a bit fuzzy about a few things, so I thought taking a "refresher" course would help. This course, was absolutely perfect for my needs. I realize that I remember and understand much more than I thought! The instructor of this course does an amazing job of explaining concepts related to correlation and different types of regression analyses. And although I use a different statistical program, the examples provided and the APA write up examples were perfect! I definitely recommend this course for someone who need a quick refresher or for those who are looking for an introduction on the topic!
