Basics of Field Interviewing (in Arabic)

مرحبًا بكم في دورة "تأهيل الباحثين الميدانيين". دورة مخصصة للمتعلمين الناطقين باللغة العربية.

تستهدف هذه الدورة أولئك الذين يهدفون إلى العمل كباحثين ميدانيين في شركات أبحاث المسوح ووكالات التنمية المختلفة، سواء بدوام كامل أو بدوام جزئي. تهدف الدورة إلى تقديم المفاهيم والمهارات الأساسية التي يجب على كل من يرغب في العمل بهذا المجال العلم بها.

تنقسم الدورة إلى أربعة أجزاء:

1- أساسيات الاتصال الفعال (تعريفه ومبادئه).

2- أدوات جمع البيانات (وجهاً لوجه، الهاتف، البريد التقليدي، الإنترنت والبريد الإلكتروني) ومزايا وعيوب استخدام كل أداة منهم في جمع البيانات،

3- أنواع المقابلات الميدانية (المقابلات المنظمة، والمقابلات شبه المنظمة (إيجابيات وسلبيات كل نوع من المقابلات)، والمقابلات غير المنظمة (التعريف فقط))، و

$ - خطوات إجراء مقابلة ميدانية (الإعداد، والمقدمة، وبناء الصلة مع المبحوث، والمقابلة وتجميع الإجابات، وإنهاء المقابلة). ستتناول خطوة المقابلة وتجميع الإجابات سبعة موضوعات: أنواع الأسئلة (الأسئلة المفتوحة والمغلقة وشبه المفتوحة مع مراجعة مزايا وعيوب استخدام كل نوع من الأسئلة)، وأسئلة البيانات الأساسية للمستجيبين، والأسئلة الحساسة، والسلوكيات المهمة التي يجب على كل باحث ميداني الالتزام بها، والتحقق والاستفسار وأخيرا حالات الاستجابة.

تم وضع قراءات إضافية لأولئك الذين يريدون التعمق أكثر والحصول على مزيد من المعرفة المتقدمة حول هذا الموضوع، ويوصى بشدة بعدم تخطيها للاستفادة الكاملة من هذه الدورة التدريبية.

Welcome to the “Qualifying Field Interviewers” Course. A course intended to Arabic-speaking learners.

This course is targeting those who aims to work as field interviewers in different survey research companies and developmental agencies, whether full-time or part-time. It aims at introducing the basic concepts and essential skills everyone who wish to work as such should know.

The course is divided into four parts:

1- Basics of effective communication (Definition and principles),

2- Data collection tools (face to face, telephone, traditional mail, and web and e-mail) and the advantages and disadvantages of using each tool of them in data collection,

3- Types of field interviews (structured interviews, semi-structured interviews (pros and cons of each type of interview), and unstructured interviews (only definition)), and

$- Steps for conducting a field interview (preparation, introduction, building rapport with the respondent, the main interview, and finishing the interview). The main interview step will address seven topics: Types of questions (open, closed, and semi-open questions while referring to the advantages and disadvantages for using each type of questions), questions asking about respondents' basic data, sensitive questions, important behaviours every field interviewer should stick to, probing, and finally response disposition codes.

Extra readings are attached to each lecture for those who want to dig deeper and get more advanced knowledge about the subject. It’s highly recommended that they are not skipped to get full benefit of this course.
