Why take this course?
This is not a beginners course! This is a followup to the Udemy Qt 5 Core for beginners and intermediate users and picks up where they both left off. In this course you will learn how to work with threads, sockets, libraries, plugins, unit testing, and application deployment across multiple operating systems. This course overs Qt 5. Because Qt 6 has so many changes, I will re-record these lessons using Qt 6 and place them into a different course, check my instructor profile for updates.

Superb as always.
Love Bryan's tutorial videos as he walks you through complex things slowly and carefully.
Highly recommend.

It will be easy to understand if you can draw few diagrams in examples of Threads, Semaphore examples.

Good coverage of many Qt classes. Gets you introduced and up and running with simple examples and leaves you wanting more, inspiring you to: ask questions about the example code, play with the code, and dive into the docs.

I have done some basic things in qt. However, this gave me the deeper understanding and broadened my view of qt5.

The course has clear information. Each student can take beginners and intermediate levels to be able to digest this course the better!

I see the point of the video, but the examples are not good, including QThread in the header is a mistake, should be done on the cpp side, storing the address of QThread from the stack in shared pointer is another bad habbit.

Nice course walking through many examples mainly from the official doc. I would like to have more tests and hands on task for practicing.

Some pure theoretical knowledge without any info or at least advices in which situations and where I should use described mechanisms and techniques in real life, in real projects.
Wikipedia-style course.

For an advanced course i would expect higher Information density. I often get carried away waiting for the next valuable Information. Nevertheless i think Brian is a very good teacher and like his style.

Just awesome!
Better than the official documentation and even better than most books on Qt.
Thank you so much.

Started with beginner, intermediate and completed advanced. Yes some things don't 'work easily' - take sqldriver for Mac. However you can do it, use Qt docs, and Bryan ALWAYS gets back to when you ask a question. No matter ho trivial or daft you think your question is - he replies. That is my experience. On to the GUI stuff...

Lecture does not give a lecture. He gives comments and writes code. He should have said to his students download the code and find out the meaning your self because you are not going to learn anything from him. He's not a good communicator. The resolution of these tutorials is very poor, even at high.

Good, but alot of uneccessary writing - I would like some more explanations of what everything does etc., and also what the terms mean
