Python Scrapy : For Beginners

It did really educate me about the usage of Python Scrapy, I would like to see further videos about the same topic but advanced.

The guy probably found out the Scrapy program in the morning, spent 0 mins reading about it and built that course in the afternoon. He has no deep knowledge whatsoever about Scrapy or scraping in general. Most of the course is spend actually reading (and adding confusing non-sense comments) the single-page official documentation tutorial from Scrapy's official site. He barely runs any code. Doesn't show how to save the data we scraped, not even with the command-line options, which he says we don't need to look at them when seeing them on the Website. He has a lecture on "comparisons" with other scraping systems... where he lists 8 programs and tells us to look on the Internet if we want to learn about them (wow! What a comparison!). Then he finishes with 3 lectures about "Avantages" of Scrapy... where he again just speaks non-sense generality in the first of those 2 lectures... and the 3rd lecture is exactly the same video as the first one.

It's too basic, an introductory course. It doesn't go in depth. The "to PRO" in the title is misleading. It takes too long to explain a simple thing. It needs more concreteness. Typing errors could be kept out of the video so that it becomes shorter (there's nothing to learn from a typing mistake and it's wasted time for the learner).

Awesome course, I have learned a lot of things after this course. At least now I can scrap Wikipedia to get relevant pieces of information. But some portions of this course was missing audio. Please fix that! 4.9 stars for that.

it's good but practical is not well. in pycharm you did not create any spider & didn't provide any knowledge about scrapy.cfg __init__.py items.py middlewares.py pipelines.py settings.py files

It's a decent course for beginners but for some reason the video is slightly unclear. Overall recommended for people new to scraping
