Why take this course?

Why should you subscribe to this Python course?

  • This course is taught by Mr. Harsha Vardhan, a professional python programmer, mentor and team leader - worked on various projects in different roles. So he knows which is important and crucial area in Python concepts and that's what is focused in the course. You will be able to write optimum Python code by following this Python code.

  • Everything taught practically with diagrammatical explanation

  • Focus on "why" to do some programming concept, apart from "how"

  • We believe that the proper way to understand programming concepts is, "by really doing it and learn from errors"; and that is what used in this course. In many cases, we think about various possibilities in the coding and analyze reasons of errors if they appear on our way.

  • Real world scenarios and use cases explained for each smaller concept of Python

  • More scope for your involvement in practice with assignments / exercises, MCQs, interview questions etc.

  • Source code, python cheat sheets are provided to download

  • Captions (CC) in English are provided for all lectures

  • You can get Instructor's help by asking questions in "Q&A" section, if you face any challenge at your practice time

  • Covers all essential concepts of Python rather than just rushing through basics / overview of several programming concepts. Check the course curriculum for more details.

  • Course content will be kept up to date with future updates of Python

Will the course teach me data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence?

No, it is not – All of these topics are branches of Python programming. And all of them require a solid understanding of the Python language.

Nearly all courses on these topics assume that you understand Python, and without it you will quickly become lost and confused.

This course will give you that core, solid understanding of the Python programming language.

By the end of the course you will be ready to apply for Python programming positions as well as move on to specific areas of Python, as listed above.

I don't know anything about programming. Will I still be able to learn Python?

This course assumes you have no previous knowledge of programming. Whenever a programming term is mentioned in the class (e.g., a variable), that term is explained thoroughly, so you not only understand how to use that particular term in Python, you also understand what that term means in programming.

What IDE/editor is used in this course?

We use PyCharm Community (free) in all lectures, to build python programs. You can use it with Windows / Mac, as per your convenience.

No Risk – Money-Back Guarantee

Finally, there is no risk. You can preview first few lectures of the course for free. Once you buy this course, for some reason if you are not happy with the course, Udemy offers a 30-day money back guarantee.

The teacher is really fantastic at explaining things in a very simple way. What's more, this is really the best course on Udemy in which I'm enjoying learning thanks to this excellent teacher.

Sometimes topics are not discussed directly which made each topic too long but over all it's clear therefore its easy to understand.

Harsha is an amazing teacher. I came from his C# course (which is also excellent and highly recommended). He can make very complex concepts easy to understand. Further, it's quite clear that he's worked in the field that he teaches and often gives incredibly valuable advice about how programs are set up in the industry (i.e. how files and variables tend to be named etc.) which helps you get an idea about how programs tend to be structured when created by actual professionals. He appears to always answer any questions people ask (not that there are many because his lectures are so in-depth yet easy to follow), and does so in a way that you can tell he genuinely understands the topic matter. Having done a few Udemy courses on Python, my main issue with some of the other courses is that when you do find an error or have a question about why something works this way and not that, the instructors will sometimes just ignore the questions if they are clearly unable to go off script. Harsha does not do this, appearing to always answer questions, which is great, and illustrates his grasp on the topic. Everyone obviously learns in different ways. But if you are someone who can just sit back and follow along, writing the code from the lecture, absorbing the wealth of information being delivered in a simple to understand manner, I would highly recommend this course. Know also that if you get stuck, and ask a question, Harsha will generally respond to your queries in a reasonable time frame. Due to the way that he has structured these lectures, they will also be a great reference tool to come and review once you are completed. Highly Recommended.

Biggest caveat for me was that assignments & cheat sheets disappeared after just a few sections. The instructor instead began giving assignments during videos with no helpful resolutions afterwards. For instance, during List of Objects the instructor ask you to use List Comprehension to resolve an assignment he gives during the video. The List Comprehension module was about 9 hours worth of video prior to the List of Objects module, but a few hours worth of video later, he explains how to resolve in his Comparing Objects module. I found this disconnect in time and resources to be very jarring and distracting as I moved forward. The latter portion of this course turns into you just barreling your way through concepts with little or no practice. Several of the videos I did my own research on Youtube to get a better grasp of what was being taught. Overall, the layout of concepts seems to be functionally sound and I will probably reference this course as I continue to learn. I'm not sure I would recommend this course to others.
