It would be nice if half of the first part of the course wasn't this guy selling his website/services.

Theoretically good. A suggestion for improvement would be to include tests in between each section, give a solicitation and test on proposal drafting skills of the student. Can give tips for improvement or give a fair proposal to compare with so that the student gets hands-on experience in drafting a proposal.

Given my experience level with proposals, this class did not add much to my knowledge. However, it is probably a good introduction for people who lack experience in this area, which is actually what I enrolled in it to discover.

Much of this course was confirmation of what I practice in competitive bidding for the local government. Much of the insight was new and refresher, which was reassuring.

Yes it has been so great and rewarding too. The only challenge i do have is, of course, in a situation we do have in the third world where idea is been stolen and organization can go ahead run your solutions provided in the proposal if solutions and benefits, and also value for money is too explicit.

There is lot of theory and less of the templates being used. when the author was talking about Kitchen renovation he could have supported the same with live proposal. otherwise this is very good for a person like me who is creating a proposal and can have a blueprint

Some of the content could have been condensed-was long and drawn out. I felt it should have gotten more into the writing portion since it was the title of the course instead of so much overview of different types of solicitations.

I had no clue about responding to RFP’s prior to this course. Now I have a better idea. I am confident enough to actually try one for practice. I gave five stars simply because of this. If I had examples I would feel great.

This was supposed to be a 'Proposal Writing' course but it didn't even touch upon the 'writing' part. It gave a very generic view of what a proposal is and what should we keep in mind. It didn't have any meat! Very very basic stuff made to seem like important information. The instructor didn't seem to have ever written a Proposal himself. Maybe he has evaluated them and gave just the client's perspective on everything. No hard facts on what to write - how to start, what to say etc. Very disappointed with this course!
