It starts assuming some working knowledges of music production and DAW, maybe it could be wise to make a disclaimer at the beginning of the video or quickly explain how does music production actually work and a bit of the therminolgy?

A great course. David delivers his knowledge in an easy to digest, readily applicable way. I've casually used Reason for a while, just working things out for myself, but I do wish I'd done this training much sooner. There are instruments and tools I'll certainly be using now that I understand them better.

I used to work with reason before but just not to lose track, decided to take this course and it was just WOW, I got a lot of question answered and would like to thank David Wills for the high level of teaching.Sadly I found out Reason changed a lot and is mostly used as a plug-in and not as a whole.Hope they reconsider because it would be a huge loss for the music industry .

This course works because the size of the computer screen is, alternately, enlarged or when addressing smaller buttons, it is magnified. Very helpful. My own complaint is that the instructor has answered no questions; something invaluable and important when teaching.

I love the use of the 80/20 principle. I'd rather spend 80% of my time learning the 20% features that represent 80% of my needs.

Perfect for me. I've used many DAW's and Reason was always intriguing to me. I wanted to learn the basics from the ground up and this has been great.

As a producer who's new to Reason, the course got me through my first major challenge - simply getting to know the DAW. While I wish there was more to learn (especially about how to use my own samples with certain instruments), I got my money's worth.

It appears to be. But I kept falling asleep on the soft sofa and came in the kitchen to paint and I am just listenining to it. I will watch it again....I am watching it again and noticing he is modeling how to use different items. Those items have their own genre/terms of usage which seem to be familiar.... Still watching ....

Main problem is the length. Maybe add more content as you learn so that there's more than 3 hours of stuff and won't feel as rushed.

David gets into some of the minute details of various parts and functions of the Reason DAW without making you feel lost and confused. He gives you a good layperson's explanation of a process or function, then he gives detailed specifics while recording a part or demonstrating on a song in progress. After that he gives a short summary of that particular function or process. He'll teach you how to navigate the Reason DAW creatively and confidently. You'll learn to harness Reason's power to create music in a more creative, hassle-free way, while also learning practical and fun ways to experiment with the many sounds and effects. Excellent, excellent, excellent!!

Wonderful Course. There is absolutely no fluff, all of the essentials necessary to get going with Reason are clearly presented in a very clear, concise and patient manner - the setup, recording, and editing of MIDI, audio, and plug in tracks, all the Reason instruments and tools are covered, as well as mixing and mastering. I can't think of a single thing that needs improvement. Highly recommended!!
