Concept Art | Prop Design in Photoshop 2020

I'm only a few modules in. I'm pleased how in depth this course is. The lessons Harvey teaches is thorough. He covers a lot of ground. He's passionate about art and teaching. He's not just covering topics as if he was reading it from a book, by that I mean when he teaches I feel like he's most interested in you getting the most out what you've paid for. I normally only leave a comment and rating after I've finished a course, but not this time, with the level of detail and work gone into making this course exceptional is an understatement. Nice work Harvey and all at the Digital art HQ school.

It's very easy to listen and the instructor is using simple language that makes it easy to understand what he's trying to explain.

I am enjoying and learning so much with this course, it is amazing to see the teacher working the concept and applying design principles to sketches until it becomes a developed final piece.

Not a bad start, but as the teacher starts drawing, the direction of the lesson seems to slow down and the sketches stay in beginning stages and never become fully realized. Maybe the teacher can show examples of his finished work to provide proper examples on top of the live drawing. As a student, I fully understand that the goal is iteration and variety, but we don't see the drawings getting more polished for presentation to those who would be in charge of the production. The positive side is hearing about how the teacher approaches variation in the car design and the desk in Section 2. Along with iteration, one should see color keys, cleaned up drawings, thoughts on texture, lighting, turn-arounds, etc. Examples of approved work versus those that were asked to be worked on further would also be beneficial to students who don't have experience with a production pipeline. Look forward to the teacher rounding out these lessons and giving students a more complete idea of what to expect with prop design. Thank you and good luck!

This course is excellent. The teacher explains everything in great detail, I am not yet done with it, but I can tell this is top notch.
