Why take this course?

Improving your organisation's processes is something that is becoming increasingly important. As we move forward, organisations are building more and more processes, all with varying purposes, touching various departments and delivering various products. As these become more complex and organisations grow, having the knowledge of how to amend, improve and secure these processes is a skill becoming vital. If you can deliver such improvements to your organisation's processes today, they will reward this favourably!

In this course, you will learn the fundamental building blocks behind the task of process improvement, the best process mapping tools available and when these should be deployed. Every process map has a purpose, so this course will show you which one to use when!

We will cover:

- The fundamentals behind process improvement and the types of process to look out for.

- How to identify, question and change value and and non-value add steps.

- The main processes we need to build during a process improvement initiative.

- A breakdown of the key types of process and process analysis terms you will need to understand.

- The process to be followed to ensure successful deliverance of process improvement projects and demonstrations of how to deliver each step.

- A LIVE demonstration of a process improvement and a case study example of how a process improvement project was delivered.

- A complete process mapping toolkit, with LIVE demonstrations on how to use each one - with templates attached for those which require it.

- We will test your knowledge with quizzes and an assignment.

At the end of this course, you should have the confidence not only to conduct wide ranging process improvement projects but also to sell the vision and importance of process improvement to leaders within your organisation.

I am enjoying at the pace at which each concept is being explained. The quality of both the video and the audio are fantastic, and the content is just what I need to improve by skills as a Business Analyst. I would recommend this course to my colleagues.

Helpful content, especially for beginners with no background at all. However, the audio could be greatly improved as well. Thanks

PROS: Overall I think the course was pretty good. It was well structured, the instructor provided many examples and knew the material well. CONS: 1. Some lectures were longer than they needed to be and the information was repetitive which made it difficult to stay focused/couldnt wait for the particular lecture to finish. 2. Slides had too much text. 3. Some videos had audio issues. AUDIO ISSUES: There were 10 lessons that I found that had audio issues - all of the sound is coming out the left side of my headphones. The lessons are 1. Section 2-Lesson 7: Triggers of Process Improvement 2. Section 3-Lesson 9: Value add 3. Section 3-Lesson 11: Non-value add 4. Section 5-Lesson 18: Takt time 5. Section 5-Lesson 20: Lead time 6. Section 5-Lesson 22: Rework loop 7. Section 9-Lesson 66: Questions to ask - Mapping 8. Section 9-Lesson 67: Questions to ask - Discussions 9. Section 10-Lesson 78: Deploy the process 10. Section 10-Lesson 83: Demonstration - test the process Please do not reply saying that no one else has left reviews saying there are no audio issues. I've looked through the reviews and can find others. I also wouldn't waste my time giving you the exact videos that I had problems with either. I tested the audio with other sources (Youtube, Spotify, OTHER UDEMY COURSES) and everything is working fine. It doesn't make sense for the problem to be on my end if most of the lectures are fine and the ones I pointed out above do not. If your audio team is telling you that there are no issues, I would recommend a hiring a new team.

I starting mapping and developing processes in the late 90's and went through Six Sigma cert process about 14 years ago. My company is about to embark on overhauling processes that exist and designing those that are missing. I wanted to take this course as a refresher and to see how much has changed. I am glad to say, not much! When a process works, it works. This was a great course. I already recommended it to a colleague to take before it gets retired. Thank you! I am excited to head into the first stakeholder meeting next week armed with "rules". :)

Excellent course. Knowledgeable and motivated instructor. The notes provided in section 12 left you free to absorb the lectures without distraction. Robert had additional comments not in the notes that you will have to figure out for yourself if you don't remember them later. Or you could take notes for the points that don't appear in the slides of each section. They'll come in handy later. Not 100% of this course made sense to me, but the learning is designed as a one-way communication. But I readily understood the vast majority of points covered. The two real life examples at the end (section 11 & 13) were very helpful; the last one showing thought processes step-by-step was a game changer for me. It's one thing to describe the steps -- but another thing entirely to see the thought process while the results of the improvement are documented before you. It connects the dots for the student. Overall, an excellent experience. Well Done!

Por lo que he observado, me parece interesante y más el tema de que los procesos se deben de actualizar por departamento y/o Empresa, da muchas recomendaciones de como identifdicar mejoras asi como herramientas y metodologías.

There was a lot of great, detailed information, but it was almost too much to absorb (both on the written details on each screen and what was being said was too much). For example, perhaps, only demonstrate 3 of the 6 different Process Mapping tools (and demonstrate the other 3 tools in a separate class). The examples given of some case studies were good, but, again, it was almost too much detail to absorb in one class. Lastly, the speaker was a bit hard to keep engaged and I lost interest and focus at times.
