What you will learn

To have an understanding of the origin and benefits of this set

To be able to practice the moves confidently

To benefit from the practice in an energetic way as well as physically

Why take this course?

What is it?

Primordial Qigong, developed by the Taoist sage Chang San Feng reflects the Taoist theory of the birth of the universe. The concepts of Primordial Qigong were based on the observations of nature, the perception of the alternating balance of energy of the primal forces (yin yang) and the relationship between heaven, humanity and earth.

The Primordial Qigong set combines tai chi, feng shui, chi kung (qigong) and inner alchemy, which is a powerful form of Taoist meditation.

Primordial Qigong captures the “subtle breath” or Qi flow of the Heaven (Universe) and Earth, fusing it into the human body gathering chi inward to the core of one’s being in graceful beautiful, effortless spirals.

Course Details

Each part of the set is shown in detail, in close and from distance. The demonstrator is one of my leading instructors and I was taught by Barry Spendlove on a 4 day retreat, in 2011 during which we visited Stonehenge and practised the routine in the stone circle.

First time around, just viewing. Later I'll begin the actual learning. I saw demonstrations in youtube & wanted an instructional course which I found in Udemy. I practice a number of other routines so I'm looking forward to adding this one to my repertoire. I'm not looking to be a Certified Qigong Instructor, just practices that will befit my own Energy. Hey, I got a great discount from Udemy as well. Cool!

This is a good course if you practice the movements with the video; however, the length of this Chi Kung system is fairly long and I would personally teach EACH MOVE INDIVIDUALLY IN MY OWN CHAIR/SEATED TAI CHI, QIGONG SENIORS COURSE PROGRAM. Joseph J. Truncale

-I thought the person doing the moves would be the man in the photo -The 2 questions I asked have disappeared and the first one took weeks to be replied via a personal message -The streaming is bad. It keeps freezing. It is worse now than when I started the course and I am seeing other videos perfectly ... -I would have liked hearing the names of the positions: parting the clouds, the rainbow ... I am doing Chi Kung and definitely I am learning better doing by parts and knowing the names of each movement to make sense of it than full uninterrupted cycles. I just gave up ... I wish I could claim my money back as it keeps freezing ...

Plenty of detail on the Primordial Qi Gong form. Lots of repetition. Not enough instructor time--I would have liked to have heard more about his experiences with the form and how he contrasts it with other forms he practices. And it would have been nice to include a history section. Taught first to whom and so on... Biggest criticism--while the model did fine, the course would have benefited by having others demonstrate as well. All in all, much appreciated.

So far, I like this class very much. I am looking forward to listening to more information. I deeply enjoyed the accompanying reading which explains where Primordial Qigong originated. For anyone who has practiced any other QIgong, this class is going to be a great addition to their practice. I loved following along with Anne Liddell, the demonstrator. For the record, I think Sifu Andrew is a role model, and I wish I lived in the UK, so I could meet him and ask to join his classes. I recommend this class, and the instructor, without reservation.
