Why take this course?

PowerPoint 2016 (365) Intermediate Training

PowerPoint 2016 is included with Microsoft Office 365

This PowerPoint 2016 intermediate tutorial covers a wide range of topics including Customizing and Compatibility Issues, PowerPoint Sections, Slide Masters, PowerPoint Themes plus manipulation and formatting of pictures, graphics and AutoShapes.  This is the second of three PowerPoint training courses.

This course builds on the content of my PowerPoint Foundation course and goes beyond mere creation of a basic presentation.  For instance you will learn how to make your own slide masters so that you can completely customize the look and feel of existing and future presentations. The use of Themes will allow you to change the whole feel of the presentation with a few clicks and you will learn how to customize designs the way you want them to look.  There is also extensive materials on how to use and manipulate graphics within PowerPoint 2016.

After completing this course you may wish to take a look at my Advanced Excel 2016 course.

Definitely learnt new things. But not all of them were worthy of categorizing into an Intermediate course. Extremely low audio volume when the instructor is speaking. Had terrible difficulty when learning on-the-go.

At first I thought he was going a little fast for me, then I realized that I had my speed set at 1.25, not 1. Do wish that he would let you know which exercises to pull up as you follow along though. Had to keep pausing the video while I found the corresponding file. Lots of great info - and even more in the supplied training manual!

I think David did a very good job with the more detailed training from the introduction in the basic course.

I thought I was intermediate, but really, I knew most of the material. However, there was a fair bit that was genuinely new to me, and the instructor showed things I'd already learned in ways that I didn't previously know.

This course is exactly what its title says . It shows all the basic-intermediate skills you need to have , in order to use power point . However , I would love it if the course covered more material and was not so short

The training is very superficial. it is more like clicking all the ribbon buttons and show what happens. i am missing practical implications of what is really possible with Powerpoint. Explanations are clear and easy to understand.

Hey all! Karthik here! This is my subjective review! I took this course to improve my presentation skills because i did not have formal computer ed. I took the Intermediate without doing the beginner course. Overall i would suggest it to anyone who wants to improve their skills. But as the instructor said , if you know a thing or two about office, give the content a second look! Hope this helps! I am looking forward to the contents of Advanced Course :)

no real, useful content presented + why do I need to always see the left side of trainer's face (always lookin on the screen, not on the camera)

The course is quite informative and covers a lot of different functions that are possible in PP 2016. The lecturer seems to be pretty knowledgeable and experienced. Nevertheless, this course lacks self-study exercises. All you have to do is to repeat after the lectuter. There should have been different and more advanced practical exercises for homework.
