In this course, students will learn the various collaboration tools in Microsoft PowerPoint 2016 such as reusing slides, creating slides from a Word outline, and working with Excel data. Students will learn to utilize the power of Slide Masters, create custom themes, and design custom templates. In addition, students will learn to create exciting and dynamic presentations by animating text and objects, add slide transitions, and use advanced graphic features including SmartArt, and audio and video. Finally, students will present like a pro by using advanced presentation features including annotations, hyperlinks and action buttons, timings, recordings, and creating videos, and review additional advanced slideshow options.

While overall it was a decent class it had more of an intermediate level feel. I was expecting more detailed explanations and examples rather than the show-and-tell summarizations (read as glossing over) of many areas leaving one having to assume various items. My hope was to get some best practice information but most of what was presented I either already new or would have easily figured out. The one area that broke the mold on this was the packaging of a presentation. I was looking to get more details, as was present in the packaging section, on the how and why of PowerPoint to better understand good usage and design principles. As an example it was stated that while embedding any content (images, videos, files) it would significantly increase the size of the PowerPoint file but there was no explanation as to whether there would be performance ramifications or it was just a size issue. Likewise when one animation was demonstrated (the rising sun) it seemed to be somewhat choppy yet that was not addressed. Might it have been my network connection, possibly, but I will now be attempting several animations on my own building on the complexity of the object being moved just to see. As I stated above a decent class but I would consider it to be intermediate, not advanced.

The instructor is well versed, qualified, and an experienced presenter / instructor. She is comfortable in her role. More information than I needed. Not the instructor's fault. I was looking to update my PP skills, but will probably never use some of the skills presented. She is Qualified!

This is really filling the gaps in my knowledge and teaching faster ways to execute, but I would have liked to see some examples of really great PowerPoint presentations at the end to get the creative juices going.

exactly what I needed, how to Insert finance data from excel and text from word into powerpoint, having them linked so if changes get made to the excel / word Document the power point is automatically updated. excellent explanations and ideas. Great training on effects, transitions and animation to make your presentation look sophisticated and professional what a surprise that the training did not end there, it showed you how to package a presentation for a USB / CD etc ....., creating a power point video etc .... excellent course.

Very Good. Unable to demonstrate Audio and Video. Excellent information generally but a few sections need expansion or further explanation In conclusion this is an introduction to the advanced lacks some important detail.
