Please note: this is included in the Prenatal/Postnatal Training Course so if you are looking for guidance on the entire perinatal period or are an instructor looking for a CPD course, that is the course for you.  Otherwise, this is an excellent postnatal healing programme.

Postnatal exercise is so beneficial for mother and baby, but it must be safe, effective and appropriate.  There are some exercises that can help you heal and others that will have a negative effect and delay your progress.  You need to know which will be helpful and which you should avoid.  There is a ton of contradictory advice out there but this course is based on my own UK level 3 training and the latest evidence from the research I have undertaken.  It is very safe and can be started immediately after giving birth.

Do not underestimate this course! Its been nearly 12 years since I had my 1st born and I have had perma-pregnant lower gut. I have had tried so many various exercises and felt my core to be rather strong but still, the gut! I am only halfway through and going slow. These exercises have targeted some deep neglected muscles and I have been feeling it. Some I had been doing incorrectly in the past and compensating with other muscles. Now I am doing them correctly and 100% see the difference. I am excited to complete this course and dive deeper into her other courses. Thank you Josie!

I would have enjoyed a short summary of all exercises at the end, so that it would be easier to remember the sequence.

Very comprehensive and just the right pace for post-natal exercise. As usual, Josie does a great job in explaining the concepts and demonstrating techniques so that we can be sure we are doing them correctly. It's a great reminder of how important pelvic floor muscle exercises are for everyone. I'm planning to incorporate some of these exercises into my regular Pilates classes.

This is a fantastic course for core rehabilitation after having a baby. I attended a class run by a clinical physiotherapist at my maternity hospital when my baby was 8 weeks old and all of the exercises they provided were the same as Josie has given here. I love that the course builds progressively. My baby is now almost 4 months old and I still come back to this regularly and it's great to see the progress I am making, although some of it is definitely still challenging!! I really enjoy Josie's style of instruction and have downloaded some her other courses to move on to after this.

Clear explanations and instructions as always by the best (IMO) Pilates Instructor on Udemy! (That's coming from someone who is also an instructor) This is a great little post natal course but also offers some nice variations to beginners Pilates exercises. Once this is completed, I'd recommend moving on to Josie's 30 Sessions of Pilates course as one of the best beginner to advanced courses in Pilates I've ever done (live or online) as it breaks Pilates down into 30 minutes learning sessions you can do daily and then builds into 3 full Pilates sessions for each level.

Excellent course - as all Josie's Pilates courses. I really love the way she explains things - she will take you through postnatal period exercise routine starting from day 1 :) The concepts are clear and delivered in a very real-world aplicable way. As a medical doctor I strongly approve of how she explains the anatomy and functioning of the body taking into account the possible health issues. I believe Josie's Pilates courses are the second best option to your personal physiotherapeutist <3
