I'm not an english language native and I have some vocabulary difficulties to understand all the words in the lectures, but I liked very much of the 3D, the PDFs and the way Mark Timberlake teaches. I was looking for a basic portrait photography course which taught the classic lighting patterns because in my native language (portuguese) there's nothing basic, well explained in a simple, direct way, without secrets and really good to learn like this one. I'm very satisfied with this course.

I have watched a few of these lighting courses but some details of what forms the loop, and why the open and closed etc , what is actually a butterfly and other details are much clear and detailed in this one. The pdf files are helpful as well. The language is not flowery but to the point and practical.

The presentation is a little dry, but the course content is spot on. This is an outstanding course on posing. Mark Timberlake explains very clearly how to perform the setups of all styles of portrait photography. He uses Set.a.light 3D Studio to illustrate his examples (rather than using live models, and has created a series of PDF files from the software. The instruction and the PDF files are of tremendous value to the portraiture student. From the beginner to the advance photographer, this is one of the courses that I enthusiastically support.

Thank you Mark! You have managed to put an incredible amount of information of the various parts of photography together in an easy to understand way and using the software is, as you Brits say, Brilliant!! It really helps with the understanding what you did to get what look.
