No prior experience in STAAD Pro and Steel structures is required to get the most out of  this course.

You will start with the absolute basics i.e. calculating loads on the pipe racks.Your trainer proceeds step by step through the process of modelling columns, beams, stringers, bracing,applying dead loads, product loads, thermal loads, wind loads.Next, he proceeds further on how to assign the properties to the structural steel members, assigning the releases and supports.Final stage shall be how to analyze and assign the design commands in STAAD Pro. He finish the lecture by explaining how user can check the bending moment, shear forces and reactions in the steel columns.

The course met my requirements. The things I liked most about it were: 1. Detailed course notes in easy lucid language and file format. 2. Use of variety of codes for load combination and design parameters and checks. 3. Basic idea of STAAD is also included.

El curso es muy breve y bastante basico, hay ciertos temas en los¿ que tal vez seria correcto profundizar, y el expositor habla muy rapido para tratarse de una clase en ocasiones es demasiado rapido sin embargo es bueno para dar inicio y conocer un poco sobre el tema.

I found many things missing like seismic analysis. Wind load is applied only in one direction. Anchor/Guide load have not been applied. The few excel files are not fully accessible like the load combination one. One major thing is that, the design is done in AISC ASD code which is rarely used. Not all the "commands" have been discussed properly. Although, apart form the above mentioned things, the lecture series is very helpful and I have learnt a lot so I am thankful to the speaker for making this. I would request the speaker to make a lecture series for pipe rack design using IS codes, a lecture series for Shed Design and a lecture series for the design of Technological Structures.

Thanks. I enjoyed the videos, there's just a small note that I will check again in the videos and ask about in the discussion area/dashboard, it is about the K of the columns (near the bracing) in the short direction,, shouldn't these columns be considered as (sway columns) as there is no bracing connected to them in the short direction of the structure?

More emphasis shall be given on Design Parameters. Here only few design parameters are explained and applied. But For beams LX, Ly & Lz are important parameters which need to be applied to structure. Also brief introduction of DFF and DJ1, DJ2 is required because it is must parameter.
