Clear material in bite size units. Practical and actionable examples (with research background) gives good insight into the messaging effectiveness for persuasion. The material is easiest to think of in terms of product marketing but I can see how it can apply to small groups. I’m still working on my messaging to get my boss to give me more $$$. Actually the personal persuasion aspects are not as obvious given the analysis considerations that are slow for me. Maybe I will start with trying to influence my partner where we should eat tonight. Thanks Andrew good stuff!

As a fellow psychology (now ex) student I could appreciate the effort done by Andrew in making scientific notions as digestible as possible. The information and structure were fantastic. Andrew is very knowledgeable and the way he broke down the persuasion techniques was helpful and easy to digest. The production value could be enhanced (some typos and you can hear him cough or swiveling in his chair) but otherwise this was fantastic. I would have liked a discussion on how persuasion psychology can be used in cases or extreme prejudice or cognitive dissonance, but the course was well worth it.

I always thought about persuasion as a negative influence over somebody else, but this course gives a different perspective about it. Interesting content.

This course did cover the science of Pesuasion; it would be more impactful if role play videos and scenarios could have been played out to relate more. I felt the content to be very text heavy and lengthy lecture, some break with videos would have helped to make it more impactful.

This class was more about marketing and sociology than it was about persuasion. If I had to repeat anything the man had to say I could only repeat business cliches that I have heard many times before. Or, I would have to go back into his lectures and search for specific concepts and ideas. I suppose if these ideas are totally new to someone they may be helpful. I'm not any better for them.

I really learned a lot from this course. Almost every 5 minute learning bite offers something new to learn. I have over 31,000 followers on Linkedin and about 12,000 followers on Twitter. I am a pretty persuasive influencer on those counts, however I am still learning new things with this course. The best thing about this course is that the entire subject matter is organized into a cohesive big picture. Well worth taking it!
