What you will learn

Pass the FAA Private Pilot knowledge test (PAR) with a grade of 90 or more

Description

Join the most popular Private Pilot test prep course on Udemy today. Bestseller, highest-rated, taught by the Number 1 aviation instructor on Udemy. Still not convinced? Go read the reviews.

This course series is designed to give you the necessary ground knowledge to pass the FAA Private Pilot Airplane (PAR) Knowledge Test. I specifically designed this material to be comprehensive and not just an overview. I will go IN DETAIL about each of the knowledge areas and provide explanations to not only pass the test, but also become a proficient pilot. Anybody can pass the test by memorizing the question bank, but that's NOT what this course is about.

The third part of this five-part series goes over Regulation, Inspections & Documents, Aeromedical Factors, and Aeronautical Decision Making. I included links to the free FAA publications as well as over 100 practice questions. This course follows the guidance of the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) under Part 61. You should definitely start flight training while taking this course.

Over 150 hours went into preparing the slides, and recording/editing this course, I hope you will find it valuable and helpful towards your training.

The other courses are:

  • Part 1: Introduction to Flight Training, Aircraft Structure, Aircraft Systems, Flight Instruments.

  • Part 2: Basic Aerodynamics, Aerodynamic Forces, Weight & Balance, Performance and Limitations.

  • Part 4: Weather Theory, Weather Services, Airport Operations, Radio Communications.

  • Part 5: Airspace, Charts, Navigation, Flight Computer & Cross-country Planning + 2 Bonus Practice FAA Exams.

  • Optional Part 6, available by private message ONLY: Receive a paper written endorsement from the instructor to take the FAA test (requires enrollment in all 5 parts + proof that you are proficient with the knowledge).

Everything is presented in clear, concise, and digestible bites of information. The fact that Greg expands on some of the talking points to include information not necessary for the private pilot certification helps drive home the understanding of the material.

I've come back to rate this course after having completed 4 of the 5 related courses and nearly being done with the 5th. I have found the series to be better than expected. In my opinion, the direct, to-the-point, video presentations are much better than class environments that I have experienced (i.e. late teachers, late classmates, conversation wondering off-topic, etc.) and with zero drive-time! I have made it to this point without purchasing anything other than the courses themselves. Links to all supplemental learning materials (all free) are provided in the courses, as well as other downloadable resources provide by the instructor. I have no complaints. Thanks Greg!

Legendary... A lot of information to be absorbed. Instructor is doing a great job at explaining everything and using examples as a method to deliver the information that is needed to be retained. 2 Thumbs Up

This part of Aviation is a must but a very dry subject:) That is how regulations make me feel. But Greg is a great teacher and thanks to him i have passed this test. A must if you want to understand Aviation!!!

HATE the regulations !!!! :D May be it would be possible to add some pictures... Not necessarily animations, but pictures. For example when you say "1000 feet over the city area", there will be a picture of some sort of a city area and 1000 ft plank. When you say "500 ft. over a desert" - a picture of a desert and a plank of 500 ft. It's just all letters letters and all mixes up, looks the same. But great course! Thank you!

Another great course. As Greg mentioned at the beginning, this was not the most exciting one to sit through compared to the two previous ones in this series. It was mainly a lot of memorization with regards to regulation and ADM. It helped to get a good bulk of the information now, but I trust that a lot of this will become more intuitive once I actually start flying. Excited to move on the next course!

Great course, the content was a dry, but necessary. The instructor did a very well job at making this part of the course as manageable as possible. I really appreciated that the videos were shorter and concise otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish this part.

Took all 5 parts of this course. Did all of the quizes and the two practice exams at the end of part 5. I also followed up with the ASA question study book I got for $20 on Amazon. Total ground school prep for under $100. I took my PP written test today and got 100%. Answered 61 out of 60 questions correct. Yes, 61, for some reason my test was assigned 61 questions. I was told that was random. Anyhow, both my instructor and the exam proctor were very surprised, they rarely see that. This course definitely works and I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent course. During my study I felt there was one part that didn't fully address the material in subsequent quizzes. Once I brought this to Greg's attention he immediately reviewed the material and went to work updating lectures in response to my concerns. I was lucky enough to purchase this course at a discounted rate. However I would recommend it at full price to anyone interested in aeronautical knowledge for any reason. This is saving me hours upon hours of high-end instruction from my CFI. Further I find that I am highly prepared for flight time lessons and will likely finish my certification flight hours without the typical need for 40% to 50% overage. Thanks for making this possible, Greg!

Maybe it is not fair for minus one star but I expected more details on AFMs and ADM topics. To compensate this - good enough, recommend.

Part three of this PPL ground school course covers for me the less interesting areas. The regulatory part is oriented more towards people flying in the US. It's still relevant and useful for people outside the US. I'm looking forward to part 4.
