I was looking forward to this course for many months since I first discovered it. I needed help with moving forward with PAN automation. Unfortunately, the details on how to get started using Python and Ansible to improve your PAN automation is not covered. It assumes you already have those environments available and can just execute the examples provided. The introduction to XML API and REST API was good, but it was only an introduction to those concepts. I appreciated the real example of using the API to create 100 network objects, as I had this exact scenario occur.

Very well presented and explained. Along with the Python training, I was also curious about Ansible and was given a very good overview of it and how it works. I highly recommend this course to get a good, competent start on automation with Palo Alto!

I have been searching for a good training video that touches on the integration and functionality of all of the tools mentioned in regards to Panorama. I think this training does a great job at explaining these automation tools at a basic level with good examples. Ill be watching it several times and focusing on each section in more detail. Nice Job!

Not Good at all for beginners there is no skill we can get from this...if you already well aware of the programming, palo alto & ansible then only you will get some percent from the course

Good course but very brief, and just scratching the topic with API, Python and Ansible. It should serve only as introduction what is possible with these different programmatic approaches but it does not train you in them.

Some scripts provided on the lab section were different to what it was show on the video, also at some point he uses an FQDN without explaining why and the script again is different to what he shows on the course. I dont understand why he decided not to share the ppt which is pretty annoying.

This is an excellent course and will get you there quickly in terms of the understanding of using Network Automation with Palo Alto. Extremely valuable and presentation of the material is very clear and explained to a very good level. Get this course it's worth your attention.

Lab does not explain properly how to access Palo Alto. Ip with fW can not be reached on NAT or Bridge (even with same subset set: 10.10.45.0/24) config inside VirtualBox, so we can only watch, but not practice on labs.

The instructor sets up the lab and tells the students so, he turns around and sets up his own there. Unfortunate. This makes it easy to earn money.

If you're obscured what is automation and how it's applied in firewall, then this is recommended. It gives you a step by step on how to do automation in palo alto but don't expect a much deeper training as there are tons of videos in udemy for that purpose. I myself was able to create a basic playbook in ansible and push configuration in Palo Alto after watching this. I paid the price and got what I wanted.
