Passive Optical Network, known as PON, rely on fiber optic cables to deliver video, data and voice signals. Gigabit PON (GPON) networks are currently the leading form of Passive Optical Networks (PONs).

This course is just lectures using slides. There are no quizzes or exercises to reinforce what is being taught. The slides used in the lecture are not available to download. The information covered is at a high level.

This covers all the fundamentals. A trouble shooting section would be helpful. I thought it better if listened at a 1.25x rate. I am sure I'll refer back to the course for abbreviations. It would be nice if there was a downloadable list.

The instructor teaches the syllabus in a clear way that makes it understandable. However this course lacks a lot of details and content and the graphs could be a bit better (update the slides perhaps). The slides are not included as a PDF source for download and review offline which is another minus.
