I just finished the course and it did not meet my expectations. The instructor is clearly knowledgeable, and the presentation is well-structured. The course provides a good foundational overview of the components of off-grid solar energy systems. However, it falls short in terms of depth. The promised coverage of design and operation is lacking, and some topics remain at a very basic level. I would recommend adding example scenarios of different off-grid systems: e.g. a system for a small RV, for a sail boat, for an off-grid homestead etc. This could show how a design process should work and how the components need to be sized together.

Good for breaking the components down of a solar set up. But no real insight on breaking down step by step how to design a system yourself for your needs.

It's a very informative course, although I was expecting more information on Solar System design. Very easy to follow and well put together. I look forward to his course on actual design and installation.

Yes very good. As a Project Manager for an energy efficient solutions company in the UK, responsible for commercial solar PV installations, I am finding the content very useful.

I think you explained the different components very well and I'm sure it will be put to good use. However, I was looking for more information on connecting inverters, both on-grid and off-grid.

A lot of info, general info. None about design or practical is explained. The teacher has a calm and simple way of speaking. Animation are, in my opinion, poor.

I loved the fact that the videos were short and on point. They can be understood by any person - not necessarily technical. The quizzes were tough and good for brain. I'm an Engineer who has worked in coal power for 7 years so this course was just what I wanted to touch upon the basics of Off-grid solar energy systems. I can continue further from here. Thank you.

Excellent detailed overview of all system components need for Solar PV installations. I really enjoyed doing this particular course as it is presented in a easy to grasp manner even if you don`t have any electrical or solar Pv experience. Definite thumbs up! 10/10

I am very happy that I found this course! I feel that many facets of off grid electrical systems were explained in a manner that coincided perfectly with the manner in which I most efficiently learn. I have been tinkering with my system for more than 15 years. Following instructions and getting good results. Now I know why and it feels good ! Thanks very much!

The course is well presented with very clear concise explanations. The focus is on on electrical principles and components for a solar power system. The course title is Design and Operation, and unfortunately I am not any closer to being able to design and or operate my solar power system after completing the course. Example: At the end of the course breakers, fuses RCD's are discussed and really well explained, however no circuit diagram for a generic solar power system is used to illustrate where the protection is installed. The course title is misleading, and a refund from Udemy does not rectify this situation.

The course is covering everything in good detail so far. Just the right speed to not be boring or out run the thinking process.

That was pretty much what I was expecting from this course at this price. I would syggest the following as an improvement: 1. Get more in depth about solar panels installation in combination with PWM, MPPT chargers 2. Practical product choosing criteria for batteries, panels, controllers 3. Having available a diagrame for ofgrid installation 4. Materials we should choose for mounting panels and how to protect them from nature elements 5. How to connect wind generator to batteries Thank you Jesse and hope you will have something more advanced in the future. Alexandros
