Hello my name is MACROLEV. I'm London-based DJ and music producer and today I'm going to show you how to make Beatport Tech House Top 100 track.

This class is aimed to music producers who know their way around Digital Audio Workstation fairly well and can quickly and easily navigate around the Software.

I'm not going to waste time explaining how compression or EQ works I assume you should know this already.

I don't claim to be the best teacher of the year but with nearly a decade of experience in the music industry regularly releasing music on labels like Hot Fuss, Force Of Habit, Low Ceiling, Stashed Music and more, as well as performing in various venues around UK including some of the capital’s leading venues like EGG London, E1 and The Box Soho, I know what works in a club and what gets picked up by labels. So, In this class I'm going to teach you how to build a solid track from scratch, layer by layer as quickly as possible to show you how simple it is to make a Beatport charting track.

I will take you through the whole process from blank canvas to creating unique kick drum, synthesizing original bass line, adding completely customizable clap, adding a whole load of drum sounds to fill high frequencies of the track, creating and processing a synth hook, arranging all elements into a complete track, on top of which adding and processing original vocals and filling the track with FX sounds. Once the track is complete I will show you how I mix it. And the last step of the whole process which is mastering to get the track to the loudness standards of a modern sound.

You will see for yourself how easy it is to create a Beatport charting ready for a club play track.
With 4+ hours of exclusive videos, you’ll get to see an artist at work, showing you entire process of producing a tune from absolute scratch. Featuring a beautiful blend of sound design, layering and advanced music production techniques this class is perfect for producers new and old.

My aim for this class to help, inspire and guide you on your own journey creating your own original music and to show you that you don't need an expensive gear or complicated techniques to write music that breaks charts.

Amazing course if you already know the basics of Ableton. I made my own track based off of Marco's learning programme and I think it actually sounds good and would play it out myself. Highly recommend if you want to know how to produce Tech House

To be a completely honest Review I do have to dock "half-a-star" for some of the things that Jonah G. mentioned in his Review of the course because I do have to agree that there were times I felt like it would have been nice to either have the sample material available, or a list of the many plugins that we should be prepared to have to follow along with the course ahead of time, etc. That being said, this is actually so far my FAVORITE Production course that I have taken for very many great reasons, and ultimately in the end I didn't mind purchasing the plugins that I had to and was happy to learn about them and how to use them! If you would like to learn more about why I feel the way that I do about this course, please continue reading: I am just about nearly finished with it now, nearing the very end, so I have completed most of it and have a full track (that I love) that is ready to be played. In fact when I tested my unfinished version of the track live at 2 shows recently, both times the entire crowd got up and was dancing with full energy! I can already tell it is going to be a success. I wrote this to Macrolev on Facebook and would like to share it with anyone reading here because I meant everything that I said: "I learned so much and it was seriously one of my favorite hands on ways of learning and producing a track along with you that I’ve had a chance to do, it was a really cool experience and I highly recommend to anyone interested! Thank you again for making these production courses, from those of us who you’ve helped, we are all grateful! ? Cheers! " In addition, I would also like to explain a little about the teaching style of this course and why it worked so well for me personally, and perhaps it would work for you too! In response to Macrolev I wrote: "yeah for me and my learning style your particular way of “follow along teaching” just clicks perfectly - I learn so much more doing it hands on like this, the way I was explaining it when sharing with friends was comparing to learning how to play a new board game… for me I feel like I learn faster by just jumping in and watching someone play + playing the game myself, rather than having someone explain all the rules to me ahead of time. That’s how your class felt to me, I was able to just jump right in and learn as we go long and “play the game” together ??" For anyone wondering, the way that I decided to follow along in this course was to basically copy/imitate everything that he is teaching on the screen, but I chose & created ALL of my own sounds and samples etc. to make my track completely unique from the one that he was making. It did take longer to complete the course this way, but it was really fun not only getting to follow along step-by-step but still having the chance to be creative and make it my own! My track really doesn't sound much (or anything) like the one that he created in this class, even though I basically just copied every move he made the entire time, and I wouldn't have it any other way! If you want to seriously learn how to create a new standard Tech House track from start to finish, this course will absolutely get you there! Good luck everyone, hope my Review was helpful for you ^^

This is on fleek! Best Techhouse Tutorial I watched so far! Hope he's making some more tutorials. Macrolev is on spot and shows how to make contempory techhouse played in clubs this days. Whoever wants to get his music closer to his idols, like Fisher, Fät Tony or even Nitti needs to do this tutorial!

I learned some interesting concepts in this class but here are some things I wish I had known before I signed up: 1) You aren't provided with any of the samples that the instructor uses in the class, meaning you will have to find your own. This was particularly annoying with the vocal samples. I had to go out and find my own vocal stems. 2) The instructor uses a TON of expensive plugins. IMHO, he should have used either free plugins or the stock Ableton effects. 3) Don't expect to get any of your questions answered.
