This is a great overall class for learning about the music business from an independent musician's viewpoint. This class certainly is one of the better ones. I think one of the strong points of this course was the overall goal setting and mindset. It helps people to focus a bit and think more of the overall impact they will have and not a get rich quick scheme. It provides the framework for a long term healthy business. People will need some further knowledge on certain subjects but this is a great overall guide!

Love this course. It has great teachers that explains the concept very easily with examples and with practical guides. Mikael is my go-to guy for everything involves music from theory, composing, producing and this. I recommend this course highly.

I'm certainly not gonna follow every "hero path" there is in music, but i'm mostly sure that i'm into the music producer / sound designer and for the content related to that i've learned a lot and also refreshed thing i already knew before. This course will certainly be very useful in the future as it deals with a lot of different aspects of the music career such as branding, and youtube setting and just for that alone it's already good enough.

Mike comes across as a really lovely guy who genuinely wants to see you succeed. He starts off emphasising the importance of getting into the 'Action Mindset' which some people may think is straying from a purely objective music business course. However, many creative people (like myself) don't have any problem in writing material but do have problems getting into business mode, and can feel overwhelmed by the size of the learning curve that you face as a self-promoting artist. This can lead to procrastination on a grand scale purely from not knowing what to do with the pockets of time you have available for your new business venture. Also knowledge without action is useless. He does quickly get into the meat of things with practical information and 'to-do' lists and helpful bonus templates and downloads. Just the clarity of thought that has arisen from actually beginning to understand what to DO with my music when I've written it has been a massive help for me. I haven't finished it yet, but if it carries on at this standard I thoroughly recommend Mike's course. Will Oliver

Very good actionable items. Good strategies and information. Definitely geared towards the beginner professional artist/composer, but in that bailiwick, very good strategies and research. Would recommend to new composers looking to develop a career in music.

I like it because it is clear, well organized, easy to follow, uplifting and motivational in nature which is nicely paced with the content delivery. 11/18 update. Now that I've finished, I see that I will need to go back and review the screen cast lessons presented by Gary to make sure I get the detail needed. But that's more about the kind of student I am, than about the material. I thought this was a great course with more than enough applicable 'homework' assigned to bring about growth in this area of education. I appreciate Gary most for his 'hands on' approach; and Mike most for his clear assignment directives, place within the flow of teaching modules. Thanks guys. I'll be reviewing and applying.

i'm a semi professional composer and found this course to be very helpful in taking my career further. Well presented by two different trainers, with great ideas, tips and tricks. Definitely worth doing this course if you want to improve your chance of making it in the music industry.
