Why take this course?
Model-Driven Architecture (MDA) is an approach for the development of software systems. It is a set of guidelines for the structuring of specifications and are commonly shown as models.
This course will begin discussions by presenting an overview of Systems Engineering, Development Life cycle, and Model-Driven Architecture. This course will also explain Model-Driven Architecture principles, models, tools, and processes.

This isn’t the class that I wanted to take. This is a class describing Model Driven Architecture (MDA) from the perspective of different OMG meta-models and standards at a very high level. The information is basically in a set of power point slides and a soundtrack that mostly reads the words on the slides. This is really dull stuff if your goal is to use MDA to better manage complexity, save time, automate reviews, work as a team.
I wanted to take a class that would improve my skills in the following:
• Determining what MDA tool characteristics are really important in practice to help decide between different tools
• Using MDA tools to improve my productivity as an engineer. I didn’t learn any interesting hacks
• Using SysML or UML to create better descriptive models
• Deciding what information beyond “boxes and lines” needs to be in the model to take it to the next level in terms of value
• Determining when it is worthwhile to modify the meta-model and when to stick with just SysML/UML
It would be also nice to have some industry data relating to ROI for MDA in order to help justify company investment in tools and training.
Unfortunately, I didn’t read the agenda well and this was not that course.

Explanations are not good enough. Very less illustrations/examples. This can just be used as a reference for those who already knows it :-(

Numbing. This should come with the same warning as on a bottle of Codeine. WARNING! Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while listening to this course. You will pass out and crash and kill somebody.
I swear this course is read by an automated text to voice converter.
