What you will learn

Visualise, evaluate and report on the content and quality of BIM models

Have a deeper understanding of IFC and what kind of content these files may capture

Description

In this course, you will learn about Solibri Model Checker, a powerful and cross-platform software for the visualisation and evaluation of models stored in the IFC-format (Industry Foundation Classes), the open standard for the exchange of Building Information Models. We will open IFC-models, navigate through them in 3D, but also check their content and quality and extract some schedules. We learn about the powerful set of filtering, reporting and communication tools that are available with Solibri.

The course covered the basics/essentials to give a flavour for the software but was sometimes difficult to follow. It would help to have had some additional resources to refer to or include a more unique building then the Solibri tutorial models and a more defined workflows/examples with greater depth and examples of common rules configuration.

Very clear speech and excellent vocalization/speed. Perfect to keep attention and focus. The explanations are very well done.

The course provides an overview of the features and basic tools, outlines the important points in working with the application. The course does not contain practical exercises, there are no assignments. Knowledge testing is formal. The balance between the value of the knowledge gained and the cost is quite acceptable.

The class seems to be for someone who has good hands in Solibri. As a new person it should be explaining in a better way

The course is good. It gives a very basic overview of Solibri usage, however, it lacks a lot of information regarding creation of rulesets and classifications. I would have liked an explanation on the Decomposes relation.

Not in good depth, hard to follow, examples are poor. When some menu is open, tutor only explains what he does, but doesn't explain what other buttons do. Should be named Solibri Brief overview course. Will ask for a refund.

It is a great course. The cost-benefit is worth it. However, I was expecting a little bit more in Ruleset Section.

It was a great introduction to get me going - good to know the areas I need to look at more closely to be able to get the most out of the software for our particular company. A shame that it was based on old versions of the softwares, but that didn't hinder the learning.

A good start to learning the foundations of the software if you are just starting out. In the later training videos when the instructor shows the more advanced features he tends to trail off and you are just watching a video of him working away with no commentary as to why he's selecting certain criteria.

It is a well organised course, although it focuses mainly in architectural elements but can be applied to other disciplines. The sound though bounces sometimes going to too low intensity.
