This is a good companion course to the Nancy Bardacke book on Mindful Birthing. The instructor is enthusiastic and has an upbeat vibe that's perfect for the topic. The diction is clear. There are quite a few useful references shared in the course. However, this course needs some work before it can be a perfect 5. 1. Some of the videos in the final section don't have audio. 2. There's no caption available. This isn't a big issue since the diction of the instructor is very clear. 3. For a mindfulness and hypnosis course, I was expecting playlists as references. The mindfulness and hypnosis aspect needs more material --even if it's just more practice sessions. 4. There's a lot of good scientific info in the course. But there's an unfortunate amount of unscientific stuff that one needs to be aware of. Chopping those off would instantly benefit this course. Some examples: What is Hypnosis - It's a myth that only 5% or 10% of our brain is used (search for Ten percent of the brain myth) - Conscious mind, sub-conscious mind, and unconscious mind are just hypothetical ideas (merely exist in imagination). 12 Universal Laws - The entire topic consists of a whole lot of unscientific mumbo-jumbo. For a thorough treatment of this refer to 12 Universal Laws page on RationalWiki. 4 Laws of Pregnancy - Phrases like 'putting out high vibration' make absolute 0 sense. Postpartum Recovery - She recommended homeopathy!
