Wireless has became an essence in the IT industry, we do have wireless everywhere: at home, at work, in the restaurant, in the airport .... and everywhere.

MikroTik have a very reputable hardware when we speak about wireless. In addition of the WLAN, MikroTik devices works perfectly in the outdoor environment and they can be deployed for Point-to-Point and/or Point-to-Multipoint wireless networks. The only drawback is that configuring the wireless correctly on the MikroTik routers is a challenge.

For this reason, I have designed this course to be such a reference for you in case you want to deploy a wireless network using MikroTik products, or in case you want to be ready for the MikroTik MTCWE exam.

In this course I will cover the following topics:

  • Wireless Fundamentals,

  • Wireless Tools on MikroTik

  • Wireless Frequency mode and TX power change

  • MikroTik Wireless Data rate and chains

  • Wireless Link Quality - Troubleshooting

  • Channel Width, Channel Bonding & Guard interval

  • Wireless Protocols: Nstreme vs NV2

  • Nstreme Dual

  • Wireless Bridging on MikroTik

  • MikroTik Wireless Repeater

  • Wireless Bridging using EOIP and MPLS/VPLS

  • Wireless Security

  • Wireless WDS and Mesh

If you want to become a professional MikroTik wireless engineer and be ready for the MikroTik MTCWE exam, I advise you to take my course which will surely help you to get what you want.

Great course. One thing I feel my understanding is weak still is knowing which methods should be followed and under what condition(s). I feel like I learned a dozen plus ways to get a router in AP mode to connect to another wireless router in another mode, but not so much as to why or when I should use one method over another (with exception to the provided scenarios of having one router not being a Mikrotik device). Perhaps something that might help would be to include real-life examples of individuals or businesses choosing to use a specific setup method and the reasonings for why they went that route.

I enjoyed the course but unfortunately we are not using mikrotik for wireless due to availability in the local market here

Match is amasing, but Udemy generates terrible subtitles. I am from Ukrain, thast why subtitles is very important for me. It gives me additional confidence. Sometimes pronunciation is bad (in english) and i doubt in my new knowledges. And it that case subtitles does not help

Amazing as always. I've taken these courses before certification to familiarize myself with the topics, and I have passed them. Not only passing, but getting a good score to become a consultant. Word of advise. Don't just watch the videos, but also do the labs! Both via gui and CLI, the latter being the more important one. The gui represents what is available via CLI, but the exams are all in text and show you export misconfigurations. So in short do the labs via gui, then try to do the same via CLI and you'll do great. Thank you Maher!

Very good. Some concepts are explained a little fast and examples of real-life applications might help clarify where to use discussed technologies.

This course is a very thorough introduction to the MTCWE content. The labs are well thought-out and easy to follow. My devices only have 2.4Ghz, but I was able to follow all labs, just not the 5Ghz parts. Thanks for this great resource!

I believe the information on 802.11n standard is wrong. 300Mbps can be achieved on 2.4GHz frequency, no need for 5GHz to reach this speed.

Maher is very good on making student understand what they should really know. Wireless is a topic that most of non-experience users get disappointed. Usually Mikrotik make it easy for everyone to use its wireless functionality but surely a good teaching and proper understanding of many features is necessary to make the most out of a Mikrotik Access Point. In this course, Maher, not only have explained all the topic of MTCWE but have made possible to put those knowledge in practice of real life scenarios through very interesting labs
