What you will learn

At the end of your course, students will be able to master every feature of the M32 workflow from Input Channels to Advance Routing with DCA groups and everything in between.

Description

The M32 has been an absolute breakthrough for thousands of satisfied users...though it does require a lot of background knowledge to use it to it's fullest potential.

ProAudioDVDs' David Wills spends 2 full hours going through every feature of the M32 workflow from Input Channels to Advance Routing with DCA groups and everything in between.  There''s also a section called Mixing 101 where David goes through with easy to understand animations to see how a mixer works and how to use subgroups, EQ, Compression, Effects, Sidechains and Monitor Mixes so you can mix like a pro.

If you have been getting frustrated trying to learn your M32 from just using the manual, then sit down, grab a cup of you favorite beverage and look over the shoulder of a professional audio engineer with 30 years in the business putting your M32 through its paces.

Excellent speaking pace, explaining everything he was doing not just assuming the listener would be experienced. Great introduction into M32 helping the listener feel more comfortable in tackling this huge desk.

I am one of several Electronics technicians for a large school district in Southern California. Our typical duties encompass anything electronics, i.e. paging systems, clock and bells, intrusion detection, Fire and life safety, UPS systems, Surveillance/Cameras and PA setup for Graduations. We are often asked to fill in for Stage Managers when they are not available. Our auditoriums are rented a lot by outside dance/performing arts and bands. I understand a little of the language and equipment. I am completely new and eager to learn. So far you are breaking it down for dummies like myself. I am looking forward to learning more from you. Our stage managers are often booked and need a break. So some of us have taking it upon ourselves to learn as much as possible and to become more of an asset to the School District!!!! Thank you for explaining things in detail!!!!!

WOW! David literally covered EVERYTHING about the Midas M32 mixer! There are a few areas that I'm still a tad confused about (of course, there is a TON of information in this course!) but I will watch this again to get more clarity on this (repetition is the mother of learning after all). Again, as I've mentioned before, David's passion for teaching others about being an audio engineer comes through! There are some who can perform excellently, and there are some who can teach excellently, but there few who can do both; David Willis is definitely one who can do both! For those who are interested in any of David's courses on UDemy, but who can't find the downloadable extras, they are more than likely on his new website www.proaudioexp.com. Additionally, the new versions of his premium courses, including the one referenced in the end of this course (Ultimate Live Sound Edition II), are also on his new site under 'Premium Courses'.

I'm a church audio engineer and this is so helpful especially we're transitioning from analog to digital. All the details were discussed well. Blessings!

I would have preferred more signal flow diagrams, less pictures (aux send pre/post fader for example).

Adding basic knowledge of mixing and adjusting levels. I'm a total novice, but the more I see, the more familiar with the nomenclature and the mechanics I become. I also like that I can rewind and go over it again.

I got a M32R Live and I am new to sound at this level with routing etc. It did save me a huge amount of time, and I learned a lot. Thank you for this tutorial, will watch some parts again.

The teacher is great – warm, to the point and great at putting things in plain terms. However, the resolution of the video is a bit low at 720p. I would like to see what's happening on the mixer's screen more often.

I had to look up some terms since I'm virtually a total newbie but there is definitely a ton of useable information.

This course was exactly what I was looking for. There were some moments where I felt I could have more on a subject explained, but for what I need it for it's great. Great Crash Course, or Refresher.
